RE: Origin of Allah(Al-illah)

Christianity is the only religion I've ever known that tries to be monotheistic and polytheistic at the same time. There's one god who's three beings that are separate from each other and yet part of the same "substance" whatever that means.
When Jesus prays to Yahweh or claims to be the intercessor ("none come to the father but by me"), that's when he's a separate being from Yahweh, kind of like a lesser god. However, when Jesus is forgiving sins or acting as an object of worship while not being in violation of commandment #1, that's when it's OK because he's Yahweh incarnate.
Three gods and yet one. Monotheism and polytheism at the same time.
