Republican obstruction continues

The democrats didn't fillibuster every law under Shrub, Obama spent the whole of his first term trying to find a compromise, any compromise even using Republican created legislation for Obamacare over far better and more popular alternatives, and they wouldn't budge.

Face facts Cato, the Republican Party's official position since 1994 has been "if even the smallest iota of goverment policy is a tiny bit different than what we want, we will make sure government can do nothing".

Even when their opponents are hoisting themselves by their own petards, democrats won't do anything.

It's the same reason why the Bliarites engaged in suicidal attempts to backstab Corbyn recently rather than working with him to hammer the Torykippers while they are at their historical weakest.

I've actually never heard of those groups, but sure. People in power just think entirely different from other people in the world.

Except that Corbyn isn't even attempting to "hammer" the Conservatives...
At this point the Lib-Dems are the effective opposition by default.
The only blows Corbyn has landed are on himself.

How can you manage to land any blows on the government when c. 70% of the parliamentary party are unwilling to accept the will of the party as a whole and are in constant revolt.

And the few times he did get a week or two free to concentrate on being the Opposition leader, he did manage to land some serious blows on Torykipper policy.

Blair is actually at the cradle of murdering social democracy in Europe with his so called third way. It's conservatism light.
