I'm no photography expert, but that looks incredibly fake to me.

Yes, it was an aurora.  I very much doubt that it was faked; the shades of green (electrons recombining with oxygen) is too natural looking.

Looks like a woman in white with a really fancy hat.

Oh and this sort of thing has already been posted on facebook by my fundie mother-in-law. Some video that some guy shot of what appears to be a cloud vaguely taking the shape of an angel, and of course the sentiment is "ZOMG! IT'S AN ANGEL!!!! GOD IS TRULY MAGNIFICENT!!!!! PLEASE TYPE AMEN!!!" Hard to tell if the "cloud" is some kind of natural or manmade phenomenon, or a faked video.
