Feelings aside, what would be the difference?

I think you misunderstood me. I know what the powers of the VP are and that is why I have my fears. The VP is both an adviser to the president and is the president of the senate. As president of the senate, that also gives him full decision of senate tie-breakers.

Yeah, that's enough for me. How far will he take it though? I don't know. All I know is what he has attempted before.

Gay rights are not going away. The world has moved forward on that and a few people living in the past aren't going to change it.

Most religious people that I know don't agree with the Bible on homosexuality anymore. I live in the Bible Belt btw.

LGBT rights won't go away as long as we keep up on it. Like I said before, gay marriage is safe enough. There are other issues that still need to be settled, though. A specific example is transgender rights, which are still being fought for across the country.

With Hillary - stability and competence.

With the Orange Turd?

We'll be lucky not to end up with this.

I don't care to hear how much you hate him or her as that has been discussed to death. What would be real tangible differences in everything around you?

I'm worried there will be a war, started by some off-the-cuff comment. I have a relative who's been in the military for 25 years and is up there in rank. What will happen to him?

It will not be off-the-cuff.  It will be a deliberate decision just as Iraq was and for the same reason.

Most religious people that I know think gay people shouldn't be allowed to adopt, businesses shouldn't have to do business with them, and that they shouldn't be allowed to get married.  They also think they should be able to be fired for being gay.

Apart from every human shitstain feeling free to finally let lose on their most primitive instints, everything else is consulting the crystal ball. The obvious difference is loudmouthed bully vs intellectual political professional. The results are still open. Again, apart from primitives feeling justified in letting lose.

In any case, come Janurary, the intellegence level in the White House will drop significantly. Maybe to sub zero.

The core issue is not the contest between loud mouthed bully and anything better. The core issue is the electorate that has been so debased as to embrace a loud mouthed bully is unlikely to ever recover a standard of sophistication required to be swayed by thoughtfulness and studied balance, at least not without an a complete collapse and truly traumatic punishment from the outside.

Another difference, with the EC respecting Clintion's victory in the election, barring an extinction level event you can guarantee a presidential election. With the EC fulfilling its anti-democratic pupose and appointing the loser as president, the chances of an election sharply decline (and I'm not talking about the US collapsing into anarchy either). Frankly I'd expect some sort of "Enabling" act in 2018 allowing Herr Oberststurmbanngroppenfuhrer to "indefinitely postpone" the elections for "national security" reasons.

The difference? 11million illegals PLUS legal US born residents (mostly children), being dropped in the middle of hostile territory. At this point I think Mexico WILL build a wall, just to keep Trump from a recurrence of the "Repatriatization" of millions of mexicans last century!

If I were to create self aware beings knowing fully what they would do in their lifetimes, I sure wouldn't create a HELL for the majority of them to live in infinitely! That's not Love, that's sadistic. Therefore a truly loving god does not exist!

Quote:The sin is against an infinite being (God) unforgiven infinitely, therefore the punishment is infinite.

Dead wrong.  The actions of a finite being measured against an infinite one are infinitesimal and therefore merit infinitesimal punishment.

Quote:Some people deserve hell.

I say again:  No exceptions.  Punishment should be equal to the crime, not in excess of it.  As soon as the punishment is greater than the crime, the punisher is in the wrong.
