I worry most about how LGBT rights will progress, as well as the makeup of the SCOTUS. I really wonder about welfare, as well as this Agent Orange pension that I've been told is irrevocable. I tend to think nothing in America is irrevocable. Nothing.

A trump presidency would be marked by a deplorably low level of occupational competence, combined with a stunning transfer of wealth upward concurrent with the transparent legal erosion of civil liberties and protections.
A clinton presidency would be marked by an extremely high level of occupational competence....combined with a stunning transfer of wealth upward concurrent with the obfuscated practical erosion of civil liberties and protections.

You know, I made a big mistake here. I was putting all of my fear into Pence initially because it was so obvious, but Trump seems to be moving into the same territory. So far everyone that Trump has hired onto his cabinet is actively against LGBT rights (and I will point back at his VP pick again). He seems to be stacking the deck with assholes. I think he's been trying to put on the neutral face just so that he won't take the direct blame. His underlings will probably do all the direct dirty work for him.

It seems weird to say this, but it seems that under a Clinton administration we may have actually ended up with less Goldman-Sachs executives on the presidential cabinet.
Gee, who in the world could have predicted that Trump was full of shit about the "drain the swamp" thing? Meanwhile, 47 million people proudly declared, "I'm a sucker!"

Trump didn't even start talking about draining the swamp until about 2 weeks before the election, mostly to distract from his grabbing pussies.

This being Trump, he may have been talking about the same thing.
"Well, evolution is a theory. It is also a fact. And facts and theories are different things, not rungs in a hierarchy of increasing certainty. Facts are the world's data. Theories are structures of ideas that explain and interpret facts. Facts don't go away when scientists debate rival theories to explain them. Einstein's theory of gravitation replaced Newton's in this century, but apples didn't suspend themselves in midair, pending the outcome. And humans evolved from ape- like ancestors whether they did so by Darwin's proposed mechanism or by some other yet to be discovered."

Once again, Borowitz a little too close to the truth.

Quote:Appearing on Russian television, Trump surrogate Kellyanne Conway said that Trump’s decision to split his time between Moscow and New York would have “no impact whatsoever” on his ability to function as an integral part of the Kremlin team.

That's catering to Republicans. I'm sure Trump doesn't care one way or the other. He's certainly not a religious nutter, he's also not anti gay in the sense of being on a crusade. He's probably the usual locker talk homophobe, the ones having a good laugh over faggots.
What you observe there is simply making his comfortable bed. Assuring that the Repub nutjobs are content with his staff selections and don't feel like opposing him.
I said it when he first entered the race. If a sufficient number was in favor of taking a shit on the sidewalk, Trump would cater to that audience. That's what he is. The perfect chameleon in service of his own glory and bank accounts.

I'd argue his motives, but I don't think it makes a difference. The effects of this are the same either way.
