Yeah, i really dont see why we cant be upset about both - ppl who commit hate crimes, as well as ppl who fabricate them to vilinize the group of ppl they don't like.
It seems some ppl from both sides like to pick one or the other. Including from what I can see here.

Usually the victims of a hate crime are physically injured, of which many never fully heal due to limitations on treatment, resources or political will. Several high profile ones culminated in the deaths of the victims.
And on the other side of the ring and significantly dwarfed by the former stands faked hate crimes, which more often culminates in financial loss and social disapproval.
Yeah, we can entertain both as somehow equal in magnitude and harm. /s

Did you just completely ignore the part where I said it pisses me off? Still, I think if you're equally outraged about fake hate crimes as you are about real hate crimes, especially when at best there are 9 real ones for every fake one, it's time for some reflection.
Of course, like I said before, the real problem is that conservatives are using these fake hate crimes to avoid having to talk about the real hate crimes. Does that not upset you? Are not just as outraged that the people that insist the guy they voted for isn't racist are just ignoring all of the racist things done in his name?

Honestly, I'm not sure why I'm getting lectured. Someone posted about fake hate crimes. I came in here and said, "i don't care who commits fake hate crimes, whoever does it sucks." Im not sure what could possibly be so controversial about that comment. I never said that committing a fake hate crime was worse than a real one. When someone makes a post about rape, am I supposed to say "well, murder is worse"? Can't I just say "yeah, rape is heinous and rapists suck"? I think you need to chill out. Seems like you're taking your frustrations of other ppl out on me.

Oh, sure, but how much do you suck if you commit a real hate crime? Let's see, just in the couple of weeks following the election there were 700+ reported hate crimes. We've found, what, maybe 10 of them were faked? Let's be extremely generous and say that we've only discovered 1/7 of every faked crime. That still just leaves us as at a whopping <10% reported hate crimes as fake.
How come scooby isn't calling out all of the assholes committing real hate crimes? How come he's not upset that the people that share his values are being racist douchebags? Gee, it's almost as if they tacitly condone these crimes and are using this issue to avoid having to address the real problem. Look how riled up they got you...
But no, let's all get outraged at a Muslim woman that faked persecution! The nerve of these damn liberals!
Oh, and just to add, yes, it pisses me off that liberals fake hate crimes. It's totally unnecessary, and it hurts the political views that I may share with them.
Now, where's the conservative outrage at all of the people actually committing hate crimes? They keep whining about the liberals that called out Donald Trump for racism, but they're totally silent about the outspoken racists that think Donald Trump is racist. How come they're more upset about liberals faking hate crimes than David Duke and the KKK loving their candidate that they claim isn't racist?
The KKK is practically non existent, and really has no more political power then the left gives it. I'm actually starting to think more of the "hate crimes" are hoaxes then we think. Really I haven't heard of that many hate crimes. Problem is the left exaggerates so much about everything it's hard to take them seriously anymore. I talk with my former leftist freinds and we all agree, it's probably an misperception. The extreme political leftist progressives claim everything is hate. There was a story of someone drawing in chalk on a sidewalk on a college campus "Make American Great Again" "MAGA", and the left declared it a hate crime of intolerance because they perceived it to be racist. Only in the completely subverted mindset of a crazy leftist would making your own country great be racist, but that's what we are dealing with these days. These people are losers, who are stuck in a victim state. The DNC will never rise anyone above victim status, because that's their base, otherwise what would there be to fight for. They don't want equality. It's a scam, and they will always keep you down. Rise up yourselves! Take charge of your lives instead of blaming others. Blame yourselves for not achieving what you could. That's what I did.
Are there racists? Yes, and there will always be. It's human nature and tribalism to stay connected to your own kind.
Are there hate crimes? Yes, I'm not saying there are not. I also haven't posted any of the hate crimes against Trump supporters by weirdo leftists either. There are many!
This thread is about people faking hate crimes, and why someone would feel the need to do so.

Meanwhile, back at the ranch....I'm up in the air as to which may be worse, the actual hate crime itself or falsely accusing a person or a group of a faked hate crime. Except in the faked incident it would create actual victims and real life consequences based on on a lie.

The fake news come predominantly from the right.
As has been said before "the truth has a left wing bias".
Now what trump and some others have done is redefine "fake news" as news they don't agree with.

OFC you are. I find the last line idiosyncratic to the point of hilarity.....except what? The fake hate crime creates actual victims and the hate crime creates what? Is it the lie portion that you think might make it worse? One group gets falsely accused and the other group gets the shit beaten out of them....and you're on the fence about something? That your sympathies are completely predictable here is -why- no one doubts your alignment on these issues. To non racist shitlords, which is worse is as obvious as the injuries sustained. Though, I suppose we shouldn;t be surprised to find that you wonder whether a lie is worse than a beating, being a member of the racist shitlord -and- moral militia demographics.

I'd say the hate crime is definitely worse, especially if it involves hurting someone physically. Like what happened to that handicapped kid who got kidnapped, tortured, and beat up bc of his race. Stuff like that is very much worse. But that doesn't take away the nastiness of faking a hate crime, either. It's falsely accusing innocent people who may very well get in trouble by the law for something they did not do. You could say that faking a hate crime in itself is sort of a mild form of hate crime because you're doing it with the intention of villainizing the group of people you don't like.

Where I live and for the largest part of Europe, the victims get the chance to heal and are being taken care of. What strikes me is that many people have a very narrow view of what constitutes a hate crime. There are of course the attacks on refugees and on muslim or jewish places of worship, but that's only scratching the surface. We have more and more attacks on the homeless. Setting them on fire or beating them up, Clockwork Orange style. We also have attacks on the disabled, which was one of the reasons why I didn't understand the strings attached in that other thread. The victim being mentally handicapped was more than enough reason why I considered it a hate crime.
