Happy Easter!

RE: Happy Easter!
Everybody searches for the truth, just in different places and different ways... that's just the human condition, always questioning. To make out that atheists are not seeking the truth or don't ask these sorts of questions, is a load of bollocks. So fuck you very much MK and happy Easter to you too.

RE: Happy Easter!
So for those of us who aren't just interested in preaching to others and telling them how hell will be for them, how are you spending your easter weekend?

I normally don't pay attention to this holiday, obviously. My boyfriend and his family are Christian, though, and I'll be sharing dinner with them. I'm not going to turn down a free meal, so I'll be joining them. I'm willing to do that mostly because I know they aren't going to spout religious nonsense to me the whole time. Some religious people are tolerable like that. Take note, preachers.
I don't believe you. Get over it.

I suppose you are entitled to apply your hatred and deem it properly applied.... *nods head*

I pity you. I pity myself for living in a world where you utter that as it would be wisdom. L'sigh.

You speak of love, you speak of understanding, you speak of truth... I think you don't know what those words mean.

We all decide how to apply love and hatred, while you want me to accept your view of how it should be applied, I look for the guidance of God and look to where he revealed and showed the way to do that.

It is an upside down world where Darkness rules and is worshiped if lovers of God will be hated and those insincere to God and his truth are praised.

It's a forum under "religion". There are so many sections without religion. If you don't want to hear about religion, don't go the section!

I agree with you, but I do not think this is what MK was saying.
"Of course, everyone will claim they respect someone who tries to speak the truth, but in reality, this is a rare quality. Most respect those who speak truths they agree with, and their respect for the speaking only extends as far as their realm of personal agreement. It is less common, almost to the point of becoming a saintly virtue, that someone truly respects and loves the truth seeker, even when their conclusions differ wildly."

Just like we will be spending every weekend, unfortunately. Sad

Our family is far away, so we're not gonna do anything special or out of the ordinary.

Aw, that sucks. You still have one family member with you. Maybe you could still do something together.

I hope not. But it's not just this thread but he has (or appears to) have implied the same in other threads... that atheists do not ask 'soul searching' questions... well I for one spend my whole life asking those sorts of questions.
