Religions that don't believe any god or gods exist, or religions that don't have a god or gods?

What's the difference?

Is there a point in practicing a religion that doesn't have a god if you in fact believe a god exist?

That doesn't parse.

Hey, every religion had to start somewhere.  Big Grin

Meh...Some  people just enjoy being "social" and what not.
Folks of all stripes love flapping their gums, and getting free little ham sandwiches, coffee cake, shit like that. It's universal; no religion required.

Though, I don't doubt there are few militant-type atheist meetups that reek of quasi-religious kookiness, I'd imagine that most attendees of these services simply miss the feeling of fellowship, goofy sing-alongs, and opportunities to run/stuff their pieholes.

Almost all atheist religions do believe in  some form of gods .Even if they are not a western monotheistic concept of gods. For instance Taoists don't believe in a creator god there concept of gods are either metaphors or mortals who have achieved immortality. Buddhists are split some accept the Hindu trinity others are more ambiguous of the notion of what a god so they could be igthiests   . Confucius never denied the existence of deities in fact they fit in very well with his notion of traditionalism and a lack of them would contradict his central premise .

But as I said meeting up once a week to sing and socialize doesn't make them a religion

Indeed as I said they were born in a religious culture and are simply emulating that culture that does not make it a religion

Our Lord Glenlivet, for one. Jack Daniels watches over us from the Heaven that is Lynchburg. And the Corn Brothers brought us tequila to remove our brain.

Wait, I meant "pain".

Not to mention the great Teachers to guide us and Napoleon to lead the fight.
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist.  This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair.  Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second.  That means there's a situation vacant.'
