"Oh Johnny, haven't you heard? Why, Heaven's just the bee's knees, Johnny. The cat's meow, for sure!
Say, you'll go with us, Johnny...Say you will!
Oh, please....I just can't bear the thought of Heaven without you!
Why, there'll be ice cream, gold, rainbows, and kittens!
Meemaw and Pop-Pop will there, of course. Bucky and Trigger will be , too!
Don't cha you miss, them all Johnny? Don't cha?"

Only if you can convince yourself that the choice is one or the other.

All of your trivia goes away with a simple read through of revelation, so why not read through it yourself?

Simple is right. But the queasiness in knowing that people actually believe this shit will never go away.

I want to go to heaven so I can watch my relatives burn in hell!

I've noted this before, but I am just enraptured with the idea:
An omniscient deity can know to infinite precision the final, ultimate end state of an immortal soul after infinite vile torments suffered over an infinite period of time. Therefore, it is in fact possible for that end state to be inflicted instantaneously upon arrival in hell for any damned immortal soul !!!
Hell needs to neither be crowded or noisy, or particularly hot.
And just imagine, let's say YOU are damned, and you arrive in hell, and there it is, WOMP an infinity of torments all imposed upon YOU in 1X10^-43 of a second !!!
Gosh, that would be a JOLT !!!

Considering that alternative is not living in a totalitarian war zone with psychopath god where people are not treated fairly and the whole place will vanish, I think that alternative sounds more pleasant.
teachings of the Bible are so muddled and self-contradictory that it was possible for Christians to happily burn heretics alive for five long centuries. It was even possible for the most venerated patriarchs of the Church, like St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas, to conclude that heretics should be tortured (Augustine) or killed outright (Aquinas). Martin Luther and John Calvin advocated the wholesale murder of heretics, apostates, Jews, and witches. - Sam Harris, "Letter To A Christian Nation"

What Christian that has ever read my posts here would ever want to go to a Hell where I could very likely be a consultant regarding their eternal torments ??

He misquoted your douche? How is that done precisely?
The god who allows children to be raped out of respect for the free will choice of the rapist, but punishes gay men for engaging in mutually consensual sex couldn't possibly be responsible for an intelligently designed universe.
