So, I'm faced with voting for a heartless witch who will hack our public services to the bone, initiate the most sweeping surveillance program in the country's history, flog the NHS to the highest bidder, continue to sell arms to nations such as Saudi Arabia and ensure as much money gets funnelled upwards as humanly possible, all whilst sternly telling the most hard-working, lowest-earning among us that there's "no magic money tree" for them to get a pay rise...or a socialist.
Hmm! Let me muse on that further and I'll get back to you! Why is he a genuine threat? Because he is unwilling to use Trident, an outdated and overwhelmingly murderous (and US controlled, so much so that no British PM had the ability to launch the missiles) response to the Soviet threat? Because he wants to bring policing levels up in response to the increaed terror threat? Because he wants to increase funding of the NHS back to the levels needed for it to work, and also kill off the PFI contracts crippling Trusts? Because he wants to renationalise public transport and energy suppliers so that people stop paying through the nose (twice*) to subsidise welfare queens like Beardy Branson or foreign governments? Because he wants to increase controls on banks and other financial institutions to ensure that the crashes of the last thirty years (directly as a result of Maggie the milk stealer's financial deregulations)? Because he wants to negotiate a sensible Brexit deal where the UK has access to its biggest trading partner at a time when no other major country is willing to talk? Because he wants to tax major companies, and make them pay even a fraction of their fair share, for the first time in more than a generation? Yeah, with those senseless policies I can see why you would vote for the party which'll fuck you over every which way til Sunday, and not the party who'll try and govern for your benefit. *Currently, in real terms, the government subsidises the privatised rail cos at twice the level they did BR for the ten years before it was wound up, all in return for a service which is less punctual, less reliable, more likely to kill passengers and many times dearer to passengers than the one BR delivered.

Let me come back to Tereesa for a moment, her response to the London attacks was essentially "I will abrogate the rule of law in this country in order to stop the terrorists. I will enact new rules designed solely to harass and discomfort lawful protestors like environmentalists and trade unionists in order to catch jihadis. I will make the surveillance burden of our intelligence services many magnitudes greater than it is currently, which, by the way they are inadequately staffed and funded to handle.
What's that you say? Stop bombing innocent women and children in the Middle East? Stop selling arms to the countries which fund and arm the terrorists? Stop allowing Saudi wahhabi clerics to take over UK mosques and radicalise young British muslims? Naaah, why ever would I do that?" Literally the only way she could have made ISIS happier was if she came out wearing a full burqa and said "Derka! Derka! Derka! Muhammad jihad!"

I know little to nothing about politics, let alone politics across the pond.
I hope the people win.
Being told you're delusional does not necessarily mean you're mental.
Theresa May talking about banning encryption is utterly laughable. There is no other single action that would be more effective at killing the UK economy stone dead in an instant than to ban encryption. She clearly has no idea about technology or the internet.
This link explains why: Theresa May wants to ban crypto: here's what that would cost, and here's why it won't work anyway And as for the European court of human rights, this short satirical film staring Patrick Stuart says it better than anything: https://www.theguardian.com/culture/vide...are_btn_fb
I haven't decided who I'm voting for yet, but it begins with an L, I know that much. And after Brexit and Trump I have zero faith in polls, so I'm not going to let projections of a Tory landslide intimidate me. So for me it's a choice between a Brexit protest vote (Lib Dem) or a Labour vote in a marginal seat which apparently has a chance of flipping to Labour. I don't really know what Labour has in mind for Brexit, but I gather they're more on the fence about it than the Tories. Other than that, I admit I'm pretty politically ignorant, so my choice is just based on those simple issues, but I'm leaning Labour because of the marginal seat, and the thought that a protest vote would ultimately be useless whereas a vote for Labour could genuinely help.
