My problem with McCain stems entirely from the religious folks giving him a pass from THEIR own strictures. Those Christians with the intermittent 'family values' and advocating selective enforcement of their holy laws really grate on my nerves.
IOW's it doesn't have much of anything to do with McCain, it's the willingness of folks that by their own beliefs should be resistant to politicians who pander to them but nevertheless LOVE being pandered to.
The granting of a pardon is an imputation of guilt, and the acceptance a confession of it.
