I am shallow because of said expectation.

Quote:Sure, it's between lovers - and the voyeur watching through the narrative.  That's exactly what porn is.  You porn aversion is cultural, not biblical.
Porn is not new it is just in a new format. before the inter webs, mags and movies, before that theaters before that nuddie shows before that burlesque shows which goes way way back. even in roman times there was a great effort in reproducing male and female forms

Quote:Like those lovers sought them?  They weren't married.....
Quote:I've often said and believed (as per James dobson of all men) there is nothing forbidden sexually in the marriage bedroom between a man and his wife.
You don't know where you end and the bible begins, do you?
[/quote]
what are you talking about?

If you want to discuss the bible then it begins and ends with your wife. it being all sexual activity. nothing else is allowed to breach the marriage bedroom. that includes all form of porneia. (the greek word for ANYTHING sexually stimulating or worldly) Meaning the bible has specifically dealt with porn in it's own way.

I quote dobbson because as stringent as he is he has a very liberal view on sex that does not over step the bible.

I'm unaware of Dobson advocating purification rites, maybe I should look again . . . .
The granting of a pardon is an imputation of guilt, and the acceptance a confession of it.

See, because I'm anti-abortion you threw a flurry of punches at me (and other anti-abortionists) suggesting wer're trying to control others and that I was "virtue signalling".
In other words, you called me out, so I called you out..Smile

Which bible verses say that mate? we need to look at them in context..Smile

If that's what you call punches, I'd suggest growing some thicker skin before you come back here. Thump gave his opinion, nothing more.

No need for thick skin with a mushy brain. Trust me, that one's got his fist so far up his ass he's practically directly jerking off his prostate at all the attention he's getting.
Religions were invented to impress and dupe illiterate, superstitious stone-age peasants. So in this modern, enlightened age of information, what's your excuse? Or are you saying with all your advantages, you were still tricked as easily as those early humans?

There is no better way to convey the least amount of information in the greatest amount of words than to try explaining your religious views.

Which would be your problem, not a pron problem. It didn't do that to me.  That's kind of the point, isn't it.

OFC it's not new, there was pron in your magic book.......

Quote:what are you talking about?
Your inability to correctly determine what positions are your own and what positions are gods.  If magic book is gods inspired word then god saw fit to include hardcore pron.  End of.  That you, personally, are a shallow sexually repressed busybody with opinions on pron is inconsequential...cultural, and not biblical.

Then you're going to have to throw out magic book, because it contains pron.
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. For the record Jesus had no beef with hookers, he told the snooty priests-
"..prostitutes are entering the kingdom of God ahead of you" (Matt 21:31)

OFC he didn't.  He was a drifter with a sugar mama after all.  We all know a guy like jesus. Always bumming five bucks from his old lady so he can go out drinking with his boys, always asking to "borrow" a cigarette...smoking everyone elses weed, conveniently showing up at dinnertime.

I mean, yeah, sure, he's a nice guy...but....you know, kind of a useless taker.
