RE: Your oldest memory
At this stage it's more of a memory of a memory of a memory or something along those lines.

I remember being in a huge double bed, but it was around when I was 2 or 3 so the double bed felt really really huge to me.  My parents would put me on there while doing work in their bedroom to keep an eye on me on something.

Beyond that I have lots of horrible memories of how much I hated nursery, I remember not liking mash and gravy (I still won't eat it now, it looks like liquid shit) so they'd keep the plate in front of me all through my lunch time and through my next lesson time while I sat there with my arms folded refusing to eat even a bit of it.

Even as an adult I think that's odd behavior on their behalf rather than mine, if a child is telling you repeatedly they don't like the food, and that food isn't exactly the hall mark of a healthy diet, just give them something else.

Are you ready for the fire? We are firemen. WE ARE FIREMEN! The heat doesn’t bother us. We live in the heat. We train in the heat. It tells us that we’re ready, we’re at home, we’re where we’re supposed to be. Flames don’t intimidate us. What do we do? We control the flame. We control them. We move the flames where we want to. And then we extinguish them.

Impersonation is treason.

RE: Your oldest memory
I'm not sure how old I was, or if this is the actual earliest recollection I have, since I don't have any chronological reference for the few memories I have from around that time (I'm guessing I was around 3 years old).

I remember being seriously ill - I had pneumonia - and going to hospital in an ambulance. Then I remember being in a waiting room with my Mum and her reassuring me she wasn't going to leave me there. And then I remember feeling very distraught and betrayed, as I was dressed in some sort of hospital pajamas, given a small toy and taken away, kicking and screaming, from my mother by the nurses...

Oddly enough - I remember almost nothing about my subsequent stay in the hospital, even though I spent a month or more there. You'd think a new environment, people and experiences would have left some impact, but all I can recall is being scared of injections one time.

I don't think I'd spent much time away from my home or my parents before then, as they both worked where we lived and I was never left in daycare nursery, or anything of the sort. I sometimes wonder how much that experience and the memory of it contributed to my trust issues, but I'm guessing it's more to do with my parents separating some 8 years later and me being repeatedly moved from school to school as a result...

A much happier memory from around that time is one where our mutt, "Myszka" ("Mouse"), had a litter of puppies under my father's desk, in the room where I was staying. I think I was also sick at the time - I don't know if it was the same illness, I believe I was sick a bunch, as a small child. My mother brought one of the newborn pups over to show me. It was wet, blind and helpless and I seem to remember thinking it looked nothing like a dog. One of those puppies - named "Bat" ("Whip") - would grow up to be my companion for the rest of my childhood and well into my teenage years. A better dog there never was... Hmmm, I think there's something in my eye...

3 yo, Dad on the avacado green wall phone with the 30 ft cord sitting on the floor calling people about my sister being born.

I can't remember if I was happy, sad or just confused.

About 3. Climbing a dresser and it fell on top of me hitting my penis between pubic bone and said dresser. If I was an actual chimp it would have snapped my baculum removing my genes from the pool.

I think my oldest memory was when I learned how to walk, I was one year old. This memory is very blurry though, I only remember that at first I walked leaning against walls and furniture, and then I slowly started to walk normally.
