Besides myself, I think there are a few other Pastafarians
"For the only way to eternal glory is a life lived in service of our Lord, FSM; Verily it is FSM who is the perfect being the name higher than all names, king of all kings and will bestow upon us all, one day, The great reclaiming"  -The Prophet Boiardi-

If you get to thinking you’re a person of some influence, try ordering somebody else’s dog around.

Well there you go, you answer yourself in one contradicting sentence: first you say ask why religious people think theirs is only one religion and then you wonder why Nones think the same way - Nones think that doctrinal differences are different religions because religious people see it that way. You know there are centuries of really bloody conflicts between christian fractions.
I mean from the beginning Catholics and protestants have been calling each other's religion "Whore of Babylon". But in honesty Nones don't think there is much difference, they just observe the behavior of Christians, because other denominations do let Christians look at ("other") Christianity from outside and they usually hate it, they can't stand it but they don't realize they're also looking at themselves.

teachings of the Bible are so muddled and self-contradictory that it was possible for Christians to happily burn heretics alive for five long centuries. It was even possible for the most venerated patriarchs of the Church, like St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas, to conclude that heretics should be tortured (Augustine) or killed outright (Aquinas). Martin Luther and John Calvin advocated the wholesale murder of heretics, apostates, Jews, and witches. - Sam Harris, "Letter To A Christian Nation"

What?

You forgot the $2 bill. The recycling center by where I used to live always has tons of those to give out for some reason.
Religions were invented to impress and dupe illiterate, superstitious stone-age peasants. So in this modern, enlightened age of information, what's your excuse? Or are you saying with all your advantages, you were still tricked as easily as those early humans?

There is no better way to convey the least amount of information in the greatest amount of words than to try explaining your religious views.

I wouldn't say all religious people in the world as individuals are "dogshit"

I wouldn't, and didn't, say that either.

They are trying to be kind, dear.

What do you mean Chuck?
"Of course, everyone will claim they respect someone who tries to speak the truth, but in reality, this is a rare quality. Most respect those who speak truths they agree with, and their respect for the speaking only extends as far as their realm of personal agreement. It is less common, almost to the point of becoming a saintly virtue, that someone truly respects and loves the truth seeker, even when their conclusions differ wildly."

Drich is his own thing

Im not my own thing..

I belong to harvest bible chapel.. Not a national movement yet, but it can be found in Chicago area west coast Orlando and east coast.

The driving principle in this church is to study using the bible as the standard and not tradition or church authority. Which does make alot of people mad when they are told their beliefs have no biblical basis. But again I am not the only person nor is harvest bible chapel the only church who attempts to follow scripture first.

Here's a simple test.

If Jesus says do ABCD and the pope corrects that teaching and says it was recorded in error do 1234 who instruction would you follow???

Can't claim to be a follow of Christ if the pope or even a lessor authority figure gets the last word. (get to change or corrects the direct teaching of Jesus No matter what the reason given.) Those who follow the pope or any religious figure head or consul over that of the teaching of Christ is of that denominational teach first and then how they relate to Christ second.

Roman catholic follow the teachings and traditions of the R/C church first and then how those teachings relate to Christ.

Now all of that said... I do not believe any of us have the right to call ourselves Christian. That is a title Jesus will award after we are saved from judgement. The only thing we can claim in this life is if we are followers of Christ or followers of the teachings of other men.

I cannot think of a clear example of where the Church of Rome directly contradicts any scriptural mandate. There is definitely some room for dispute about the role of confession, the nature of the eucharist, apostolic succession, etc. I think you will find that the papal encyclicals and such are much more nuanced than protestants give them credit. At the same time, the language they contain can seem a little weasily from the outside looking in.

I've mentioned the One True Faith here a few times:

The Congregation of Jehovah's Presbytery of Zion*
