Raj, while dark enough and hairy enough, is portraying someone who I find very funny, but not really anyone I'd like to be around even socially.
His ersatz homosexual marriage to Howard is off putting in the extreme too . . .
Penny's dad, btw, WOOT !! AFAIK, he's only in 1 episode, hardly enough for me to get too worked up over.

Kaley Couco is the most talented actor amongst the regular cast. Too bad she is unlikely to ever get another big role. Jim Parsons gets rave reviews for his acting, but his one appearance in Hidden Figure shows he is very one dimensional.

Sheldon has to make a choice which should be a no brainer for most.
1. Go see the new Star Wars movie.
2. Or spend the day with Amy on her birthday.
He finally realizes it would be a dick move if he didn't.
So he goes over to Penny's apartment and Bernadette is there as well.
He tells them of the three birthday gifts he wants to give her.
1. To play the harp with the Phil Harmonic
They say that it's a bit unrealistic.
2. Amy is into knitting so he thought maybe an all expense payed trip to a sheep farm in Wisconsin.
LAME.
3. Or as Sheldon puts it "Coitus" "sex".
Penny shatters her wine glass shocked knowing how Sheldon is with touching other people. OCD type.
She points that out asking him if he is ready for that.
Sheldon says he really wants to show his love for Amy. Penny says his remarks are beautiful.
They mull over the 3 options again..........
Then Sheldon proudly proclaims, "Then it is settled Amy's birthday gift will be my genitals."

I loved it up until about season 5. Once Howard married Bernadette, it became the nerd equivalent of an afternoon soap opera to me.
Only two things are infinite, the universe and human stupidity, and I'm not sure about the former.

I just watched on imdb trailer for "Young Sheldon" and you know I thought it was not a bad idea making a show centered on smart young boy surrounded by Religitards. Indeed trailer does seem to show that it will be about ridiculing religion (although it is to be seen how much), for instance we can see that one of his teachers was ridiculed for having a degree from Oral Roberts University.
teachings of the Bible are so muddled and self-contradictory that it was possible for Christians to happily burn heretics alive for five long centuries. It was even possible for the most venerated patriarchs of the Church, like St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas, to conclude that heretics should be tortured (Augustine) or killed outright (Aquinas). Martin Luther and John Calvin advocated the wholesale murder of heretics, apostates, Jews, and witches. - Sam Harris, "Letter To A Christian Nation"

I didn't catch that. But, I will have to give the show a chance. I really am not fond of comedies that are not done in front of a live audience. But maybe I will have to change my position now.
I still think CBS would make a killing making Sheldon a Saturday morning science show for kids, like Bill Nye was.

Sure that is interesting idea, although Parsons is not a scientist so he would be rather like a host-interviewer that talks to other scientists and Parsons probably sees himself too big for that. He probably wants to act.

That is the downside. Parsons has said himself in real life interviews he is not into science. But that is why you have script writers. That is one thing about him I don't admire. I am not saying that everyone has to be Hawking, but science is still something that should be valued, and give every kid at the youngest age at a minimum, a very decent general understanding.
TBBT, I am sure has, and will continue to inspire young viewers into getting into science.
