Replacing Christianity with Islam

I'll vote no, only because I don't know much about Islam.

Not much to know really. Islam is the same line of Christianity and Jews, the same tribal God of Abraham. All of the books convey an attitude of loyalty to that God, all of them claim divine entitlement to land. 

And again, it isn't because any of those Gods are real, but even in polytheism, humans mistook their local royalty, ruling family's success as being handed down to them by a divine super natural source.

And again, I don't say any of this claiming you can force any religion out of existence, I couldn't even if I wanted to. I am merely pointing out the context of how people lived back then and the holy books were each written for the times they lived in.

That is why words like "serve" "servant" "master" "submit" "loyalty" "lord" "kingdom" are all themes in all three. Because back then, you were rewarded when you defended the local royalty, and punished if you crossed that local royalty.

Christianity has largely neutered itself with it's incessant schisms, scripture cherry picking and gross and willful ignorance of even its' most basic and fundamental tenets by it's (supposed) adherents.

Islam is still pretty enthusiastic (generally) about disemboweling their heretics, apostates and slackers if they start drawing enough attention. I'd encourage further theological devolution prior to allowing them to regulate, for instance, my fisting and rimming proclivities, among other aspects of societal interactions.

The question is IMO lacking sufficient naunce to make a decisios - it depends entirely on the specific implementations of Christianity and Islam.

As asked, I'd answer no, but neither of the poll answers is really sufficient so I'm declining to answer. Plus, there's no 'fuck all polls' option.

The question is really the King Asa problem.  When there are different religions there are conflicts.  So simply get rid of every religion except one and there will be peace.  It really doesn't matter which religion is the survivor as long as it is the sole survivor.  And everyone will have to follow the specific denomination of the surviving religion.

Therefore the question is incomplete.  It would be better if it was: "Should all of Christianity and Islam be replaced with which one of the sects and orders of Islam?" and then list them.

Hitchens' observation, however, makes pedophilic priests the lesser of two evils because Islam is still 'young' and in the confident phase of its expansion, it hasn't had a few extra hundred years that Judaism and Xtianity to get jaded and mutate to the number of radical degrees they have.
