I was talking to a few colleagues at work today about this very topic. We were talking about the Christmas party but our company now calls it the "winter event" which has prompted some eye-rolling.
We've had a few Jehovah's Witness colleagues and they wouldn't go to the party if it was called a Christmas party. But they'll go if it's named correctly, apparently lol.
I told my coworkers that the war on Christmas is made-up and that I'll sometimes tell people Happy Holidays because it includes Christmas and New Year's.

Oddly, I sometimes hear people aggressively wish "Merry Christmas" as if they feel they're being rebellious or something by saying this.

We don't celebrare Christmas, only Merkelmas, and that's mandatory for everyone.

I am not really interested in celebrating the day baby Jesus died of a seizure (or whatever Christmas is supposed to be) but I am interested in receiving gifts again one day if I ever get an Xmas present again one day lol.
