That's probably why Freedom of Speech and Freedom of the Press are listed separately in the First Amendment.

Real black leaders like Michael Eric Dyson, Cornell West and Tavis Smiley shit on Obama by calling him a Republican in blackface who didn't want to help the black community and who's 8 years in office only put blacks in a worse place than before, but I guess Barack still has the admiration of... rappers/ singers like Jay Z and Beyonce, and clowns like Al Sharpton.

Why are you laughing at Kaepernick's protest? Protesting the Dems is a large part of his protest. I respect the sacrifice the man made and I respect his message. Don't you?

Except of course there's no evidence he ever said it.

What he did say was:  ""You know, I've lost the South for the Democratic Party."  Upon occasion of signing the Civil Rights Act of 1964 which was passed with a higher percentage of republican votes that democratic.  But the president always gets the credit or the blame for what congress does.

Either way, my point stands. I like Brian. He's a good guy, and of course he doesn't have to completely agree with what Kaepernick feels about the Dems. Kaepernick is only one man afterall and it's fine to have a different opinion, but to say that this is only a problem on one side, makes it sound like the Dems couldn't even improve in this area a little bit. Like they're basically perfect, and that kind of claim does a disservice to the cause that Kaepernick and all these other people are fighting for. Things will not improve if major pressure is not put on both sides. Thinking that one side is a lot better than the other is fine, but thinking that same side doesn't need any pressure put on it to do better or fight harder is only going to prevent positive change from happening, and I think most people here would agree with that.

You are still not getting it. I am not denying that happened one bit.

When dems lost to Reagan, and the unions got busted, instead of fighting back, our politicians, long before Bill was president, our state and congress politicians stupidly tried to compete with the GOP instead of fighting back. You cannot make this about 1 politician, this is about political competition over long periods. The pull to the right started in the 1960s in reaction to desegregation, what the right saw as anti patriotic protest of Nam, an "hippies".  The GOP and Nixon's southern strategy lead to Reagan, and we've been trying to compete with that party ever since.

It isn't about one politician, it is about our entire party being stupid trying to be like them to prove we can compete. We have to stop letting the GOP control the narrative.

Um, no.  If he didn't say it your point is pointless.

Maybe if Johnson had installed a tape recorder in the Oval Office you could back up your claims..... but he was smarter than Nixon.

Quote:YORBA LINDA, Calif. — Richard M. Nixon made disparaging remarks about Jews, blacks, Italian-Americans and Irish-Americans in a series of extended conversations with top aides and his personal secretary, recorded in the Oval Office 16 months before he resigned as president.

The remarks were contained in 265 hours of recordings, captured by the secret taping system Nixon had installed in the White House and released this week by the Nixon Presidential Library and Museum.

Now, how the hell are the Dems supposed to "reach out" to fucktards like this one?

What do you disagree with about her comment?  She's a righty who is warning about a government plot to kill people.  Don't you think that that is something that a lefty might say instead of a righty?

It's easy to control people if they are distracted so that they don't know that they are being controlled.  You have to examine all of the events and look for patterns.  So when a righty hits the warning buzzer it might be wise to pay attention.
