I think I was wrong. This protest is not about Kap's message anymore. It's a bandwagon Trump protest now. Those players wouldn't kneel with Kap to protest injustices against black and brown people before, but now that Trump weighed in they kneel to give him the finger, and many of them backed down afterward which only makes Trump look good in the end. R.I.P. He and Covfefe's  supporters do not understand the difference between the rights of a private citizen, and the role of a public official. 45s tactics of vilification are the issue. His rhetoric of scapegoating and vilification has been going on for 5 years and still today while in office. He is not protecting free speech, he is bullying everyone. 

He isn't trying to bring progress and equality like Martin Luther King Jr, he is pandering to a very racist and bigot past, and to condemn those who are standing up to that is just bat shit insane.

7. Scapegoats Hispanics and Arabs.

This isn't a pattern of one gaff. This is a political tactic to silence dissent. This is what Un does, this is not the behavior of a western leader whom claims to value pluralism.

I am sure he would, but I think the bigger picture as to why he is such an asshole bully is that his dad verbally abused him and probably physically as well. His dad hated losing and taught him to win at all costs.  And when you look at the rise of despots even outside this issue, at a minimum they come from strict authoritarian families. 

Abuse often leads one to grow up to abuse others.
