There can be character building for both sexes, and it may be even more effective having the opposite sex around so you can learn about them and learn to interact with them -
how to treat women well if you're a guy and how to treat men well if you're a woman. Including girls won't take away from male character building. It will simply add another very important element to it, and give them the opportunity to put that into practice directly.
Well said. I've heard Drich (and some others I've talked to about this) keep using phrases like "being a man" or "manhood" and imply that having girls there will somehow warp or defect it. ...Isn't learning how to act around women and how to treat them as equals and appreciate their skills and values part of "being a man"?
What you are describing is a potential momma's boy. momma's boys can treat ladies well, but can fail in every other part of society. Teating women is only one part of 1000 other skills that boy scouts were challenged to master.

It's been like that since 1911.

You heard it here folks, treating women well means you're likely a momma's boy.

It just baffles me that the men most uncomfortable with learning alongside women also claim to be the gatekeepers of true masculinity.

Just because boys learn with girls don't mean they will grow up to be non masculine Drich. Learning alongside women have a lot of advantages, for example whenever there was some sort of conflict within the boys in my school a girl will intervene and resolve it but fights breaking out was a common occurrence in boys only schools(some were so bad police had to be involved). Another advantage was with girls around a lot of sirs had to bite their tongue but boys only schools were notorious for Crass sirs that would use improper language and curse in front of boys...you want boys to follow that sort of behavior as example??

It may surprise you to learn that there are a lot of men who know how to treat ladies well and who have somehow managed to learn a wide variety of skills, including the sorts of skills taught in the Scouts.

I'm starting to wonder if Drich is repressing something. It would explain the aggression, the lack of empathy for others and the strict adherence to arbitrary rules.

No, Drich. Teating women really is not. But your misguided focus on this imaginary skill does suggest you have no real clue what a woman actually is. So I suppose you are not a mamma’s boy because no self respecting mamma, being woman, would likely have you.
