Then why bother with Jebus? Can't have it both ways. Personally I don't bother with abaddon due to the use of jebus. Since there's few theists here relative to atheists, we can be choosy in whom we talk to.
Doesn't matter to me either way. That's my point.

Maybe not to you, but if it didn't matter to him, he wouldn't go out of his way to purposely misspell it.

Well, not all of it, but you get my meaning.
It's not losing your shit to decide to ignore an atheist when there's a dozen more atheists willing to carry on the same conversation.

I think that getting pissy about mean words being spoken at you, or "disrespectful" nicknames for your pet fairy...in light of the fact that you offer a promise of eternal fire for victimless crimes in return...is a stunning failure to recognize true depravity where and within whom it resides.
Those meanies are getting in the way of you discussing the Good News in a manner that you find comfortable. Truth be told...the good news is what ought to make you uncomfortable.

As I clearly said, it has nothing to do with disrespecting Jesus or God (Gawd) or anything similar. Using such terms automatically moves the conversation from reasonable/civil to mocking. Why in the world would I participate in a discussion with someone who's motivation in the writing a sentence includes mocking?
On the other hand, it does makes it easy to decide who is worth seeing on my feed.
As Alpha said, there is always another atheist right behind him/her willing to discuss an issue.

The only reasonable way to respond to those beliefs is with derision and contempt. They are not civil beliefs in the first place.

That's a good question..right alongside it, however, is why you would believe in something that lends itself so well to mockery?

They think you're being silly too...they might even be patronizing you. Have fun, though. I don't ever notice a difference between taking you seriously or mocking you. The results are interchangeable. Obviously anecdotal, but there it is.

That's the fancy philosophical jargon given by the religious Eichmanns of the world, who aren't bright enough to recognize propaganda when it's staring them in the face.
This is one of the biggest differences between theists and atheists, IMO.
They start with the notion that not only does their god do good, but that their god is Good, capital 'G'. That it's the embodiment of some sort of cosmic moral force, and thus whatever it does is automatically good, because it cannot go against its inherent nature. So, when it does heinous shit, it has to be good, or for some kind of greater good, and is thus moral, if still really kind of shitty.
We, on the other hand, are skeptics. When the bible starts claiming that god is good, we say "prove it." And the purported acts contained within the book show the claim to be a lie.
I find our approach to be far more rational.

Hey, god never said it would be easy, did he? Remember, if you can save one soul...

It is when literally no-one else cares.
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist. This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair. Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second. That means there's a situation vacant.'

Characterize it however you want, but yeah, if I can get a free pass, I'm taking it.
The sin of letting Jesus take the fall for you is IMO much worse than anything you could accomplish as a mere mortal. I pay my own debts.

Your Opinion is noted, but it doesn't count for anything.
