No, this doesn't make Mike fucking Pence look any better. He's still a sexist, homophobic asshole. And if someone walked up to him and put a bullet in his head, I wouldn't shed any tears.
"Tradition" is just a word people use to make themselves feel better about being an asshole.

I just want to point out that, while I kudos'd your post because Mike Pence does not look any better, and I would not cry for Pence in a million years, I don't condone anyone shooting him in the anywhere. I'm with you, though. I wouldn't give a shit.

Just to be clear, I'm not calling for someone to shoot him. Just saying if someone did, I wouldn't shed a single fucking tear. He's a total scumbag. And I think it's disgusting people use these latest allegations to try to prop him up.

Yeah, I figured you wouldn't call for that. I just wanted to cut any "You think Mike Pence should be shot in the face" shit off at the pass before it got stupid in here. I'm not a fan, but I don't want anyone to hurt him or anyone else, with very few exceptions.

As for the 'he tried to make good with the women after the incident' thing - I think I must've heard that in one of the interviews I was watching surrounding this issue, so I can't provide a definite source for that, so you can disregard that.
I guess I can't really pin point why his letter rings so hollow to me. I guess it reads like a script; like he's just saying all the things he knows his fans and the institution want him to say. I honestly can't put my finger on it. And this one really stung for me. Louie was one of my favorites. I want to believe he's sincerely remorseful. But, even if he is, I still can't give him the pass that the irrational side of my brain wants to; otherwise I'm no better than Trump supporters who rationalized all those accusations and that disgusting bus audio, simply because they really, really liked him. Louie let me down. That's all I know.
Hey, fair enough. I really liked CK a whole lot as well, and I did a literal double-take when I heard the news. We might have a difference of opinion on whether or not he's remorseful for his actions, but we don't differ in how much our opinion of him has changed. I'm not saying that this apology suddenly makes him not-a-scumbag either, he well and truly is.

I'll handle that. I actually do think that Mike Pence should be shot in the face, and not just him. Whole clutch of fucking traitors.
