Well you've barely posted there... so that's a pretty good reason to not ban you. You've kept quiet and they approve of that.

So I've already been banned and then unbanned from a Christian forum. When I saw that I was banned, I was like "Oh well, Christers gonna Christ..." but then a few days later, I emailed the mods inquiring why I had been banned, pointing out that I had made no disrespectful posts. Then I was suddenly unbanned, with no email response from the mods (who had previously got back to me when I emailed them about more mundane matters). Weird...

They're not intolerant of disagreement if you follow the rules, which you say you'll do. You can be openly atheist and post there, including posting challenges to theism.
