The Silliest Conversation You Will Ever Have With A Christian

RE: The Silliest Conversation You Will Ever Have With A Christian
I thought it was a pretty silly appeal to emotion when my aunt texted me the morning before a surgery and said, "I know you don't pray, but please pray for me today." I love her, so I awkwardly prayed just so I wouldn't have to lie to her, but I realized later that she wasn't looking for my help with prayer. I truly believe she was manipulating me, and I feel duped. Another silly one I had was with my sister. She asked me if I would concede that there was a god if I saw proof. Of course, I said yes. She then said, "Oh, so you're not an Atheist." She sounded relieved, but I made sure to assure her that she was wrong. Another aunt cried when I told her I'm an atheist. She was drunk and sobbed that she didn't want me to go to hell. I really love that aunt. She's an amazing lady, even if she's duped by the Big Fraud.

(Oddly enough, I wasn't raised religious. My father isn't religious, and my mother can't be bothered to attend church and worship. I have no idea why my sister believes in god or care whether I do.)

Silliest convo I ever had with a Christian was here (and I won’t name them). They tried to explain how the story of Noah’s Ark actually happened. That was fun like a hole in the head. 🙄

The OP states:

"The Silliest Conversation You Will Ever Have With A Christian"

Meaning the conversation in the OP is the silliest.

It's not a derailment to call bs.

Selective reading and misinterpretation, another trait of Christards.

You can interpret it that way if you want, I certainly didn't.
We might need Rhonda to weigh in on the original intent.
I interpreted this as an invitation to share stories.
Maybe "Will Ever" means to make up stories?  Perhaps it should have been titled "You Have Ever Had"?

Whatever.  Your turn, Huggy.  What's the silliest conversation you have ever had with a christian?

"Do you believe in God."

Me: "No."

"Why not."

Me:"I have never seen sufficient evidence for a God."

"Look around you."

Me: "That's not evidence."

"Bible says."

Me: "Oh fuck off."

Thank the Markovians for repressed memories like this one.

The Mummy Returns. Rachel Weiss gets killed and is returned to life. At one point she asks hubby if he'd like to know what Heaven looks like.

Afterwards, driving to dinner, my date says:

"I wish they would have let her tell us what Heaven looked like!"

"Uh, how would they know?"

"God wouldn't let them get it wrong."

First date/last date.

Like the one I had with a preacher - I asked him why he used "thee and thou" when he prayed.  His response, "because JESUS did, and we follow HIS example!"

I doubt theists know how to open their mouths without saying anything silly.
