Not in the conventional sense of people putting food on the table. There was a deliberate pogrom against wolves back in the 1800s/1900s. The thought was that the wolves killed the trophy animals, the biggest racks, the finest specimens. Some thinking would have disproven that concept, but there was little of that going on. As a result of this the only wolf species solely native to North America, the Mexican wolf, was hounded down until there were just seven specimens left.

My temporary solution to help limit Gun Violence, without banning or restricting guns in any way (so as to please the people who think guns should be easier to get than Sudafed)

Let victims of mass shootings sue gun manufacturers as well as whatever business or individual sold the weapon to the perpatrator(s).  If your gun kills more than 3 people in an event, you should be held liable for damages.  Let them pay the hospital bills of the injured, let them pay the funeral expenses of the dead, and let them pay for the emotional distress their product has caused.

GOP basically passed laws back in the 90s to make that virtually impossible. No other product gets that immunity.

Hunting has replaced the natural cycle of predator/prey in controlling animals like whitetail deer. Having worked auto accident insurance claims made me aware of what hitting a 200 lb. deer at 65 mph can do to a car. And the passengers. I hunt coyotes twice a year. Invasive dog rats need thinned because the wolves aren't there to keep their numbers down.

They may not be able to afford to up and move; inner-city residents, who have the most need for protection, usually have little extra income. They're going to need a commute, too, for work and school, since they've move to safer environs.

Much easier said than done.

How does someone get the police called on 'em 39 times and apparently nothing happens?

Who made the calls? Cruz himself, his mom, neighbors ?

Who thought after occurrence #38 that just one more call is going to fix whatever is wrong with this kid ??

What's the distribution of police calls in this neighborhood? Are they visiting multiple homes on every block 20 times a year ??

I'm also surprised about the animal cruelty issue, apparently he was blasting chickens. His own chickens or someone else's ?? How'd he talk his way out of that? Around here just leaving a dog outside on a cold day can result in a visit from the authorities, someone shooting 'captive' (?) chickens for sport would surely trigger some red flags in some locales, why not where Cruz lived ??

BTW, it's not lost on me after legally buying an AR15 he was still too young to go buy a six pack of PBR to celebrate . . . .

That's a BS idea and if I was on a jury hearing such a case I would laugh it out of court.  If someone uses a knife to kill three people will you sue the store that sold it and the manufacturer who made it?  Besides, most States have a victim's assistance fund and people can get money from it.
