Humanism, much like psychodynamics, isnt well-grounded in science.

I get that but in this case it could have been prevented.

No, its NOT just mental illness. It takes a lot more than that. Fix the society first, then fix the individuals.

No, Gun Control won't totally eliminate gun deaths or murder. Just like Condoms won't always prevent pregnancy or STD's. Doesn't make either of them any less of a good idea.
