Communists killed people who resisted communism.  They were not killed because they were stupid enough to believe in some other god.

I'm telling you, it is going to go over his head.

I think you are forgetting all the Nobel Prizes for Science awarded to the many and various interventionist deities.

And think of the pressure those deities are under to ensure that each and every scientific experiment came out with consistent results. I mean, once you've intervened once, you have to keep doing it in the exact same way every time.

Credit where it's due.

What a god, intervening at every turn and yet leaving no trace.  He is just so existence-less self-less.

Except that atheism is not the belief that gods don't exist. You know this. You've been told it every time you bring it up.

Despite the emoticon, I can only conclude at this point that you are incapable of thinking.

Agnosticism is a neutral position, there have been plenty atheists here that have stated unequivocally that a God doesn't exist, so enough with the word games.

Plus we can hardly be held responsible for our 'blindness', can we? It's how we were made after all.

In the Marxist–Leninist interpretation of Marxist theory developed primarily by Russian revolutionary Vladimir Lenin, religion is seen as retarding human development. Due to this, a number of Marxist–Leninist governments in the twentieth century, such as the Soviet Union after Lenin and the People's Republic of China, implemented rules introducing state atheism.

Fist of all you won't find one theist on this forum that agrees with my position, so let's not generalize.

Secondly, by saying "Communists killed people who resisted communism" you're basically accusing communists of doing the exact same thing you accuse the religious of...

Agnosticism need not be neutral at all.  I am agnostic and I definitely do not believe in any gods.  But the supernatural is an incoherent idea for which reason nothing about it can be said to be either true or untrue.  You insist your god lives in the supernatural zone so of course I don't endorse your belief and yet it doesn't subtract from my agnosticism.  If this makes your head hurt just go ahead and let it all out.

Apart from this being an obvious non sequitur, please explain this to me...
whilst it is easy to understand how someone would die or kill for something they strongly believe, how likely it is that someone would die or kill for something in which they do not believe?

And, as my maths teacher used to say, please show your working.

Cheers.

You're right it is highly unlikely for someone to die for something they don't believe in, however since we are talking killing it doesn't take much to see that if one doesn't believe in consequences then one tends to do whatever they wish.

As one member put it.

I find it hilarious that Huggy put "disbelieves" in bold when "or lacks belief" is, literally, right next to the word.

Cherry picking definitions, now? My, you are so desperate.

In terms of the purely christian narrative - the fact that it is one of thousands of religions makes it mathematically unlikely given believers in any religion can provide the same "evidences".

In terms of a supernatural force without a narrative - is purely an evidential issue.
Self-authenticating private evidence is useless, because it is indistinguishable from the illusion of it. ― Kel, Kelosophy Blog

If you’re going to watch tele, you should watch Scooby Doo. That show was so cool because every time there’s a church with a ghoul, or a ghost in a school. They looked beneath the mask and what was inside?
The f**king janitor or the dude who runs the waterslide. Throughout history every mystery. Ever solved has turned out to be. Not Magic.

Ignore the unbolded words behind the curtain!  The incredible wizard of God commands it.

It's either/or, meaning either is correct...

I bolded what was relevant since that is the word disputed, now run along.
