Esteemed scholar, wish I were but that wasn't God's purpose for me. Doesn't matter whether you are compelled by me to believe anything, it is your responsibility to be compelled by the One who convicts. Answering that conviction in a positive way is the only way into an eternal paradise with the eternal creator.

Sin is an illusory concept made up be the religious minded and your threats of judgement and/or hell don't scare me, or anyone with a functioning brain.

"Sin" tends to be one of those eye of the beholder things too. Easy for a theist to see an unsaved individual sinning, but way harder to discern in a supposed friend or fellow religionist.

And ESPECIALLY, themselves.

LOL, theists pass out absolution for sin all the time. Even for folks that aren't asking for it. Trump springs to mind, unbeckoned . . . . . .
The granting of a pardon is an imputation of guilt, and the acceptance a confession of it.

Self explanatory !

I'm not Thor

Yet I do not need to make a thread about it nor do I sign off said thread by repeating my declaration.

You did. If you like I did not believe in something then why defend yourself?

I am told by christians on a frequent basis that we are all sinners. No we are not! Thus, my counterargument.

I had no intention of scaring you or anyone else, stating what the scriptures say. I have found out about some people though, those who holler the loudest are the most scared when it comes to hell. Sin has be real since Adam and Eve transgressed against God.

Only one of us seems to realize we're already in the eternal paradise. Makes life much more fun, I think.

If this is a paradise and the temporal sitting it exists in is eternal then heaven will be even grander than we ever thought.

Not compelled by your flacid threats.

I wasn't threatening you and I can't see why you think so, could it be you are scared. I was telling you what scripture says, if you took it any other way you have miss read my post.

No, things are actually much better than they used to be.  How can you enjoy your life while looking through shit-coloured glasses?

Sure they are when you live with blinders on. Kids killing kids, kids killing parents, kids killing teachers and principles and people crying out that guns are at fault. You are the one wearing such glasses ignoring children being sold into sexual slavery, there are more kids in sexual slavery today than there were slaves in this country. Our best days are past and will never be regained because people just plain ol' do not care about anything other than their selves. Besides like I explained to the others this topic is about sin.

RE: There Is No Sin!
We're told that the earth used to be so shitty the only solution was to drown the entire planet.  I don't know how it could be worse than that today.

I find it ironic that the "sins" that a given christian is comfortable pinning on some other..or the entire human race..are usually..more accurately, a description of their own shortcomings.  Is there anyone here who could be said to care more for their own opinions than a committed believer?  I doubt it.  If self-centeredness is the source of the worlds problems..the person who speaks for god would  be crowned king of the degenerates.

Fuck anyone who doesn't believe your stupid selfish fantasies.  It doesn;t matter whether your opinions are untrue or even vile.  They're all a bunch of dirty sinners headed for hell.

Huh.   Rolleyes

Meanwhile, in the real world..we've become so much more aware of others that it's alleged to have turned into a problem in it's own right. Alleged, in large part..by people who would endlessly bitch about the selfishness of others and how it's ruined the world.....until someone points out how much of a self-centered asshole they are. Then, well..then everyone's just being an oversensitive snowflake...I'm sure.
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

I presume that you have actual statistics for your assertions regarding slavery, adjusted to percentage of world population.

As for guns, easy access to them -- and particularly to the rapid-fire, large-magazine variety -- is definitely a factor in the number of gun deaths.  You might want to do something about that.

Giving up on the world and sitting around waiting for heaven is IMO the greatest sin of all.

I will never give up on this planet and its residents.

Better be careful everyone or people will think we care about theist ghost cooties . After no ever makes a thread to mock and absurd concept . And the imaginary torture chamber they insist for no reason exists. lol

I reject all gods. Did a lot of drugs in my youth. Love performing cunnilingus. Love Cabernet and Pinot Noir. Spend most of my week trying to heal nasty wounds and help people with dementia stay calm and find some quality of life. Have been divorced twice. Am desperate enough for sex that adultery with a married woman is only a concern if her husband might kill me! And if any god wants to condemn me for these things, it can kiss my lily white ass!

Let me tell you something you heartless statistic hunting atheist, even if it was one child it would matter, the only thing that matters to you is yourself and winning an argument while these poor children are abused in unimaginable ways, and if you think I'm mad writing this you are damn right I am. You will scream about priest yet turn a blind eye to those children locked away to be the play toys of others. Yes the priest are just as bad and need to be jailed, not slapped on the hand. No gun has ever jumped up walked into a school and killed anyone, it takes the sick mind of someone to take the gun and us it for something it was never intended for. Guns are no more accessible today than when I was a kid and there were not hardly anything like it is today. So let's see the gun availability is the same then as now yet more are dying now, so what does that leave and yes when I was a kid I had semi-automatics in my hands, I was taught to be responsible so that even an accident wouldn't be likely. With the down fall of morals, parents being absent from teaching their kids to be responsible people, the games that are allowed into the hands of kids at such early ages are just a few of the things that have caused this country to suffer such tragedies and the families of these kids what horrors they suffer. Yes you are right I'm damn mad, try and find a heart. By the way there are plenty of stats for you to drool and relish over, so go ahead and satisfy that craving.

You haven't even begun to help this world but I can tell you this what will be will be and it 's the small victories that can be accomplished to help others. I'm not sitting around waiting for the coming of Christ and The Bible tells us not to do so, we are to be and we are working to help those that we can, whether you believe it or not doesn't really matter or change the fact the Christian Church does more for people than any other organization or country in the world. You are right though sitting on the hands is sinful.
