Letter J wasn't in use till the Middle Ages, so the Bible won't proscribe using a name that starts with J.
And Scripture says we're supposed to call Jesus Immanuel instead. Not that anyone bothers . . . The granting of a pardon is an imputation of guilt, and the acceptance a confession of it.
