Seriously dude, you are deluded. The Republicans kept the Democrats out of the entire process, and the Democrats didn't even have the votes to make any meaningful impact either.
I'm not even a Democrat, I'm an independent, but even I can see which party actually gives a shit about proper governance and which doesn't.
Democrats merely as non politician VOTERS have the right ideas. We want livable wages for all workers in all zip codes. We want equal pay for women. We want universal health care. The only thing I would fault our politicians on for the past 3 decades is allowing the GOP to control the narrative. The only thing I would blame democrat voters is our apathy in local, state and midterm elections.
The GOP mimics the "common man" motif effectively, and they have been quite successful. The problem is dems have not effectively combated that narrative.
The GOP thrives on the utopia bullshit of Huckleberry Finn and Tom Sawyer getting workers to paint the fence for the owner and convince the morons that crumbs are good enough even though those who benefit from the labor do the bulk of the work.
The GOP is no more for the working class and working poor than Colonel Sanders loves chickens.
