Hadiths and deceivers.

RE: Hadiths and deceivers.
If you don't want to reflect over them and see what's it saying about the origin of creation, it's up to you. I know it's not literal because the Quran comments on key parts of it in different places with different themes, and when you get it, you really begin to get it.

Key parts of what, you just told me it wasn't literal.
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

Exactly it's not literal, water, light, plants, etc, all these key components, and even the "ship of Noah" and "pairs", all have a detailed explanation in Quran that bring about a better perspective and bring it about with explanation to key themes in there.

The Bible is very chronological, the Quran is not. But in how it comments on the Bible, they compliment one another.

Right, it's not literal.   It's not the story of our origin, or of the creation of this world.  It's a poem, about whatever.

Personally, I find that disappointing. It would give magic book a value that it doesn't currently possess.

...of what...?  You told me it wasn't literal. A first person account of the origin of humanity and the planet we live on would be immensely valuable to me. A literal one. Poems about whatever....well....not nearly as much - and highly dependant on the poem....and the whatever.

I disagree with you on this; MK.

The Quran and Genesis are quite different from my reading, there are lots of differences.
1-Darkness is a product of God in the Quran; it is not in the bible:

what made me believe in the Quran is this exact thought: it specifies that God made everything including the darkness itself; declared explicitly in this verse:

Quote: Wrote:Sura 17, The Quran:
( 12 )   And We have made the night and day two signs, and We erased the sign of the night and made the sign of the day visible that you may seek bounty from your Lord and may know the number of years and the account [of time]. And everything We have set out in detail.

Where is that in Genesis? God there is a God of "light"; a God missing the ability to make darkness, he found it already covering earth -that is more of a side effect??-, while the God of the Quran is the creator of both darkness and light, Sura 17 verse 12 says that.

2-More verses on the above:

Quote:Sura 21, The Quran:
( 33 )   And it is He who created the night and the day and the sun and the moon; all [heavenly bodies] in an orbit are swimming.

Again; It seems to me that the God in Genesis already found the night, and built the light upon it. In the Quran; he made everything from scratch. That's a creator; and that makes more sense.

I won't say that the Quran is affirming what came in Genesis. But I would never say that what in the Quran is complimentary to the bible.
Verse 33 of sura 21, and Verse 12 of Sura 17 are opposing your theory in my opinion.

Genesis speaks about the God of light -Ra?- The Quran speaks about the God of all.

Desert moon god is an upgrade from mountain bush god....because it can make darkness.   Rolleyes

RE: Hadiths and deceivers.
The SIX PILLARS of Islam are from the Hadiths.
These hadiths have been authenticated, existed & referred to for hundreds of years. Since now Muslims are getting Western & modern education, they are embarrassed & bewildered on how to deal with tonnes of stupidity in those books. In some secular country or Western nation, anyone calling himself a "Muslim" can pick & reject hadiths they wish, as faith is your personal choice. You can't do that (at least publicly) in Darul Islam (Lands under the control of Islam) meaning most Muslim nations. Where I live , you'll be detained by officers from the religious department and sent for "rehabilitation" courses/centers 1st thing. Even Shia Islam (Shiism) is banned. There is no such thing as "Quran only" Muslim country. They only exist in online forums like this.Real Islam in action is what is taught in the cream of the Islamic world's intelligentsia at  e.g Azad University (Tehran), Al-Azhar (Cairo) & Al-Madinah & as practised by Muslims IN Islamic countries.
Wherein both will be those (maidens) restraining their glances upon their husbands, whom no man or jinn yatmithhunna (has opened their hymens with sexual intercourse) before them (Quran  55:56, Mushin)

RE: Hadiths and deceivers.
This is from Sahih Al Bukhari which is the bedrock of the 6 Pillars of Islam as practiced today by 1.8 Billion Muslims. Even Shia hadiths are greatly influenced by Al Bukhari. For almost a thousand year, Muslims had no problem with it, but now they are dumb founded & totally embarrassed, & looking for ways to deny it & present an Islam palatable to you Westerners. Here Muhammad is teaching the Muslims that when you have sex, the baby will resemble the one who ejaculated first & accordingly this knowledge is the evidence he is a prophet. If you want to laugh more go sunnah.com

Narrated Anas:

`Abdullah bin Salam heard the news of the arrival of Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) (at Medina) while he was on a farm collecting its fruits. So he came to the Prophet (ﷺ) and said, "I will ask you about three things which nobody knows unless he be a prophet. Firstly, what is the first portent of the Hour? What is the first meal of the people of Paradise? And what makes a baby look like its father or mother?'............The Prophet (ﷺ) said.........And if a man's discharge proceeded that of the woman, then the child resembles the father, and if the woman's discharge proceeded that of the man, then the child resembles the mother.

Sahih al-Bukhari » Prophetic Commentary on the Qur'an (Tafseer of the Prophet (pbuh))
USC-MSA web (English) reference : Vol. 6, Book 60, Hadith 7
Arabic reference  : Book 65, Hadith 4480
Wherein both will be those (maidens) restraining their glances upon their husbands, whom no man or jinn yatmithhunna (has opened their hymens with sexual intercourse) before them (Quran  55:56, Mushin)
