No, the legislation is in hand in draft form. The "no" twonks will claim the flood of abortions as evidence of the slippery slope fallacy but in the real world there will be a spike in domestic abortions simply because there is no longer a need to export it to the UK. All of those will simply come home to roost.

The "No" idiots went on an agenda of there is no abortion in Ireland, good holy roman catholic Ireland. They failed to realise that abortion is happening all the time, from the trek to the UK to the handy drugs on the interwebs, to the coathanger in a back street.

Now, I am a bloke, so it isn't something that will ever impact on me. Why the hell should my status over-ride women's health? I can tell you why. Religion teaches that women are mere chattel, mere property. As are one's children. That is the problem. That is what needs to die in a fire

And the no side are on Marion Finucane trying to delegitimise the result right now, saying that the result was a huge surprise to everybody because the polls were tight (fact: the polls weren't tight. The closest was an Irish Times poll which showed a 12% lead for yes before correcting for the don't knows from 3 weeks ago and they widened massively again since then mainpy due to the horrible lying no campaign), and insinuating there were lots of illegal votes based on a few unevidenced anecdotes.

Then the focus shifted to "the government shouldn't legislate to allow abortion to 12 weeks, because that's what the people don't want", despite the fact they lost so heavily because they kept telling people that they didn't want the proposed legislation.

I wish to fuck that the Irish media would finally stand up to the lies of the Ionanist "institute", the Hitler Jugend Defence, senator Briefcase Wanker, Katie Arse Cough and Cora Shitlock.

How about this for an idea, make abortion legal, but anyone who thinks it's wrong doesn't have to have one. (or is the idea of individual choice too complex?)

Shame it's only Southern Island but hopefully it will put pressure on the North.

The North is run by this asshole religious group that our Tory government got into bed with in order to maintain power.

'Southern Island'?  Ireland is one island (not counting the fiddly bits round the edges).  If you meant 'Southern Ireland', it is my duty to inform you that there is no such place.  You mean 'The Republic of Ireland'.

I hope the US antiabortion crowd pay attention to this sentence.

Ashamed to say I have an Aunt and Uncle who were on the no side. My mom is a HUGE disappointment to her family though. I mean being a highly respected doctor and all. But she doesn't live in Ireland. I also have cousins who voted yes, who will also presumably not be invited to the next family reunion.

Can I offer you my "whack the family" special.

Two or more family members for the price of one. Each one over five is half price. But further discount for groups more than ten.

Do you offer special discounts for multiple families? My husband's side of the family is really annoying too. At least most of them.
