One man's opinion isn't worth shit, especially when you consider these two salient facts, 1) Kerr hasn't taken the political realities into account (he's a prime example of the kind of person who discounts the EU in negotiations with the EU) and 2) he's not the one who will decide in the long run who gets the veto on a decision to revoke Art 50 (in this case if it does go all the way it'll be the ECJ who'll decide and if they don't throw the revocation out of court altogether {see below for why} almost definitely say either the European Council or the European Parliament).

And even if the UK had the letter of the law on its side (it doesn't because the treaty doesn't actually talk about a revocation of Art 50 {most likely meaning there is no provision in law for a revocation}), it doesn't have the realities on the ground on its side.  If the EU27 decides the UK is out, guess what, the UK hasn't a hope in hell of persuading anybody it's in.

Actually the only legal opinion on revoking Art 50 is contained in this European Parliament resolution stating that "a revocation of notification needs to be subject to conditions set by all EU-27, so that it cannot be used as a procedural device or abused in an attempt to improve on the current terms of the United Kingdom’s membership." Unless the UK can find some way that that statement and the resolution itself is contrary to the body of EU laws and its constitution it is shit out of luck if it wants to unilaterally revoke Art 50.

So, Pgrimes, if you want Art 50 revoked you'd better make sure the Maybot and everybody else in the nasty party is very good at brown nosing.

I'm wondering if deliveries of the new blue passports from France are going to get held up at the border when the UK crashes out with a deal and have to trade under WTO rules.

After all, they'll be considered a foreign import.

Indeed, we'll end up paying more for them. 

I find it more funny as those that claim Brexit was a great idea, probably LOVE that their passport is blue now and "represents everything that is British..." yet is physically put together in France.

It's another level of stupidity to this whole thing

I really do hope that we either just say "this was a terrible idea" and drop it, as it's been suggested we can OR it goes to a legit vote with a majority being needed to pass the decision. From my understanding some 33 million people voted, with some 65+ million living in the UK today. A fair few people have already stated they would change their mind (I spoke to my father who voted leave, for various stupid "get out of our country", reasons, and even he said he would want to remain now), so I think the re-vote would be a crazy landslide back in the remain camps favour.

Anyway, I'll sit here (genetics wise, a product of dutch decent) in my office based in the UK, waiting for my new French British passport, and watch the world around me burn to the ground, when the old people figure out the being British means the total ammount of fuck all these days. Yeah, we once owned like 3/4 of the world, but then we showed all those places how to make the things we need, and now they make them better than we do......so we're fucked lol.

This Brexit shit really does hurt my head when I think how utterly stupid some people have been and the odd few still are
