Far below the foundations of the earth was the 'great deep', from which the waters needed for a global flood could be tapped, and to which they could go when it was time for the flood to subside. No more origin is given for the waters than for God, God doesn't create the waters in the account, his spirit moves over them to separate them. Just sayin'.Yes, the word you translated as "move" means to incubate. "His spirit(breath)" is global warming! Yet, that word is not in question. Because, the previous understanding of science did not include a "Snowball" earth! That one time pseudo science is now a broadly accepted proven reality! Yet, how can anything live in a "snowball' environment?! The answer is no, nothing could live. Yet, we do right! It's a God thing! You theological atheists can just shut the hell up! All theologians can bite me! Neither have any authority, nor ability to claim that "Snowball Earth" never happened.
Then, evolution is pre "snowball" only! I will never deny that! There is absativally no evidence of evolution after "snowball"! NOT ONE! Micro only! Just sayin!

All the original verbs have to do with making(John 1), forming(asah: Adam), building(banah: Eve)! And God did NOT create from ex nilio! Because there is no such thing as "nothing". Just ask Nicola Tesla! The style of grammar and language in the gospels and the NT is usually pretty straightforward and to the point. This rendering is almost incomprehensible and I would presume the writer would simply record Jesus saying "Whoever slanders my words..." instead of "Whoever slanders the breath-wind..." if this is really what He was saying. Then they start trying to pretend that it means everything other than what it says. We're onto their tricks. G-C is famous for it. Just ask Nicola Tesla! You seem to be making this far more difficult for yourself than me, Peter and Paul were asking what kind of man would we need to be to be accepted into the kingdom. The men God makes us through Jesus Christ. The kingdom is the Christian church ie. believers in Jesus Christ and before his birth John was a believer. Scriptures were never meant to be difficult, Jesus himself said He came for the poor, the down trodden, the lowly, the troubled and the weak. These are all people who would not have a great understanding of the old Hebrew and Greek. The scriptures were translated to read as they are for the most part, so that those who could not understand a complicated read could understand what scripture was saying. GC GC
God loves those who believe and those who do not and the same goes for me, you have no choice in this matter. That puts the matter of total free will to rest.

That only occurs on Red Dwarf(hilarious English sitcom)! Genesis will always be literal because God NEVER required your edumacation nor, anyone else's! Of course, there is more then one ice-age. How many times was the earth destroyed before God asah(Hebrew: formed like clay) Adam and banah(Hebrew: built--can you imagine her hand-crafted beauty?) Eve? Well, at least I'm no YEC! The problem with your evolution is the continued destruction of earth up to, and including the last "Snowball". The continued, over and over again destruction(the last snowball was utter and complete destruction of life) don't give enough time for evolutionary magic tricks! Nothing but restarts have occurred and geologically proven! Since Adam and Eve: no more restarts! Destruction yes(the flood of Noah)! But, zero restarts! The super herding animal that mated with a superfish had already occurred by the time of Adam and Eve! We call them "Dolphins"! I recently read a book on dolphins. I was so disappointed: not a single recipe! Ok, I'll stop now.
My girlfriend thinks I'm a stalker. Well...she's not my girlfriend "yet".
I discovered a new vitamin that fights cancer. I call it ...B9 I also invented a diet pill. It works great but had to quit taking it because of the side effects. Turns out my penis is larger and my hair grew back. And whoa! If you think my hair is nice! When does size truly matter? When it's TOO big! I'm currently working on a new pill I call "Destenze". However...now my shoes don't fit. RE: Genesis interpretations - how many are there?

Taking it at face value, if I was under the impression that evolutionary biology contended that cats would "turn into" The Monkees.......and a herding mammal mated with a superfish to produce dolphins...then I would be highly skeptical.

Genesis interpretations - how many are there?
I would answer all the drivel on this board - Genesis interpretations - how many are there? But it is closed so my new board Genesis deniers - how many varieties of fools - give me your best (January 22, 2019 at 7:02 pm)donlor Wrote: Genesis interpretations - how many are there?
