Space Force?

RE: Space Force?
I'll try and find some reference material, IANMTU, President Kennedy was presented with a 'Death Star' type of deep space retaliatory force plan. He wanted nothing to do with it, but there was even a mockup or model of the thing at the time.

Launched via Orion Nuclear Impulse technology, there was almost no limit to how big it might have been.

Plans would still exist somewhere, maybe Trump will look it over ??

I don’t think that it is necessary right now, but probably will happen before too long, and it never hurts to be first in an arms race.

BULLSHIT, here is what IKE said about being weary of the global weapons industry and arms race. He understood, like you don't seem to, we live in an age of nukes and mutual destruction of the ENTIRE SPECIES.

The best explanation yet.  Borowitz.

Quote:Pence Calls Space Force Necessary to Protect U.S. from Gay Aliens

Quote:Pence detailed a nightmare scenario in which “gay aliens by the thousands” land in the U.S. in “seemingly cute spacecraft” and “subvert life in America as we know it.”

“Let’s say, for example, that these gay aliens can assume human form,” he said. “What’s to stop them from infiltrating normal bakeries and baking cakes for gay weddings?”

Not just to fight gay wedding cakes, but what about the sports those aliens may bring? And what if those aliens start interfering in human elections?

In as much as this is just a reorganization of that segment of the U.S. Air Force that already takes care of such things, I don't know that it's anything to get excited about, nor particularly embarrassing. Reading last night, there are some 38,000 personnel already employed in this effort, so maybe having their own organization and command structure makes sense. I don't know that Trump is proposing anything beyond this. The only part that gets me is that by talking about it in the way he and Pence do, it seems it's been brought up as much to provide photo ops as it is a serious project.

Um no, it points out the long term hypocrisy of the GOP bemoaning limited government, only to create new needless entities instead of funding the existing ones.

Yes it is embarrassing because it really is nothing more to act as a distraction to billionaire tax breaks they do not need, and giving a bullhorn to bigots.
