Highly manipulative quote and a great way to shift the responsibility of your childish behavior on others. And a great line for abusive sociopaths. In my opinion, one of the worse popular quotes out there. At my worse i wouldn't expect anyone to handle me. 

"Honest is the best policy" 

Its also the best way to get fired. 

No, honesty isn't always whats best.
