What can atheists do / not do?

Well, there's still laws of the state, and atheists, as subjects of a state, are still technically bound to the laws of said state, just the same as any Christian, Jew, &c. Of course, like any other citizen, they can choose to follow those laws or not. Fortunately, most choose to follow them. You see, we recognise that laws come from people; but don't assume that precludes them from being good ideas.

Yeah, "I'm an atheist" is an answer to the question "Do you believe in god?" This thread makes sense not so much. It would be like asking someone if they like pizza and if they said no, carrying on a line of question that goes something like this:
As one who doesn't like pizza how would people like you vote in the upcoming election? Do people who don't like pizza believe in souls? Oh, so you don't like pizza huh? Well what is the favorite color of people who don't like pizza? Can people who don't like pizza live happy productive lives? What about frogs? Mankind's intelligence walks hand in hand with it's stupidity. Being an atheist says nothing about your overall intelligence, it just means you don't believe in god. Atheists can be as bright as any scientist and as stupid as any creationist. You never really know just how stupid someone is, until you've argued with them. |
