Trump's Base is Possibly Growing

RE: Trump's Base is Possibly Growing
I do think some Latinos having true conservative values has a lot to do with it, but I think people forget that a great number of these voters are actually phenotypically White or very close to it. They probably see themselves as different from brown/mestizo latinxs and are angling to be on the right side of white supremacy and eager to reap all the fantabulous benefits of being white-adjacent.

"Porque no? Mira..I am White too, yes? So let the mestizos be the maligned minority.
Viva la Trump!"

Some of them are probably pretty stoked to have a shot at being the ones holding the trigger.

I don't know. From what I've seen in this discussion, the reaction to news about Trump's numbers improving among Hispanics seems to be to become nasty toward Hispanics and spitefully push them harder into Trump's arms.

Donald's base isn't growing. His Hispanic followers (most of whom are merely religious bigots and misogynists) just feel safer coming out about it now that he's President. We have one in our neighborhood. He's BIG on the Donald Wagon, and can't believe a woman was allowed to run for President and believed Hillary was going to 'outlaw Christianity'. He stands by his statement that GOD put Donald in charge. His wife, son, and daughter on the other hand still don't support him.

Stand up for Jesus, and you can have sex with as many prostitutes, pornstars, and underage children you like.

Do you think that a much larger percentage of Hispanics voted for Trump in 2016, but claimed that they voted for Hillary? It was expected that about 18% voted for Trump, but the exit polling indicated 28%. Now there are indications that his approval rating is at 50% with them. So do you think that 20% or so of Hispanics voted for Trump and are just now coming out of the closet about it?

I'm not asking argumentatively. I'm just curious for your thoughts.

There are indications that the 50% is WAY off.  The sample size of the poll as well as the methodology were flawed.

That's why I've been careful with my wording. Indications that his approval rating is 50%, instead of saying his approval rating is 50%. I don't know if I believe it, but their have been corroborating indications.

I'm telling you, a large number of Latinos/Hispanics identify as White and conservative.
The data crunchers regard them as non-white because they also identify as Hispanic, but non-white is NOT they regard themselves.

A great many of them will vote the way conservative whites do and favor Republican candidates and policies.
I imagine the apparent surge in support is most likely due to a corresponding surge in growth/numbers. As much as half being conservative?
IDK...Seems fairly plausible to me.

All I know is that it's pretty amusing to witness mainstream Dems scratching their heads and trying to figure out how any of this could have possibly have come to pass.

Oh, well. You guys will get there eventually. Consoling

That they are more conservative than other members of the Democratic base has been a given since the beginning of this discussion. I'm becoming pretty convinced that these slightly more conservative members of the Democratic base are being screamed out of the party by libtards and racists who hate them for being 'white adjacent'.

The Democrats big tent is shrinking.

The people you're talking about aren't members of the democratic base.
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

Not with libtards like you kicking them out, they're not.
