Free speech does not compel others to affiliate themselves with the speaker.

He was warned on several occasions that his views were not in accordance with the opinions of Rugby Australia and was asked not to do it again.
He kept doing it. He was sacked and is now playing the victim. He asked for $A3 million to help with legal fees (his property portfolio alone is worth $A7 million) and his disclaimer also stated (paraphrased) “I accept that my donation my not be used for legal fees”. After raising $700,000 GoFundMe shut down the page because it violated their terms of service because they want to be seen as exclusive of all people (in the same time period as this appeal was running, around another $1 million was raised for all other appeals for people who really need help. Free speech can come with consequences. This guy needs to grow the fuck up. Playing Cluedo with my mum while I was at Uni: "You did WHAT? With WHO? WHERE???" RE: Free speech or Hate speech?

As a public school teacher, I've had to be careful about everything I post. Not just controversial views. But if a picture of me drinking alcohol got out, or me in a bikini, I could potentially be fired over it if parents complained loud enough. These are perfectly normal behaviors that can potentially be punished. On the other hand, though, none of these things should be considered remotely offensive or inappropriate. Bigotry toward an entire group of people? That's something else entirely.
This is a millionaire running a go-fund-me so gullible Christians can pay his lawyers. While sick kids and adults struggle to get gofundme funds from those same people. Apparently charity beings at Gay Bashing. So ultimately, I find it hard to feel sorry for the millionaire who not only got fair warning, but also has plenty of money in the bank and is seeking more money from other people to pay for lawyers he himself can afford. Also, I think it's worth pointing out that if Mr. Folau takes Leviticus so seriously, he's going to hell too. After all, God said no tattoos.

Being told you're delusional does not necessarily mean you're mental.
Question: when gofundme shut down the page, did he keep the 700k or was it refunded to the donators?
it was refunded in full
