Gee what could POSSIBLY go wrong there?
You understand that Franklin wasn't talking about gun rights, correct? He was defending that right of an elected body to tax and to govern in the interests of collective security. The quote has almost nothing to do with individual, personal security.

FBI statistics say the majority of mass shooters are white single males with a history of violrnce and mental health issues.
There is no mention by the FBI of white supremecy being a factor.
Where did you draw that " fact" from?

Look at Irish gun law and implement it (albeit with more people processing the licence applications). Our gun laws are a lot more sane and less destructive than yours.
But then you're not interested in actual solutions are you. They'd only remove your beloved penis substitutes.

I suppose you will grumble about your "rights to be able to shoot stuff" but what about the "right not to be killed by some nutter with a gun"?
Are you so insecure that you can't feel "manly" without a weapon?
Good luck with that.
You might want to practice.
Start with trying to take away food from a hungry pitbull.... Work your way up to a hungry badger then a hungry bear.
When you master that - you' re still not quite going to be ready for a gun owning American.
So you agree that you don't have the balls to face the world without a gun?

Much like NZ. Anyone over the age of 16 can get a gun, but there are certain hoops that have to be jumped through first. People under 16 can go shooting and/or hunting, but there has to be a licensed gun owner present.

I love how the anti gun types automatically draw imaginary paralels between guns and a lack of virility - and assume the gun owner is " fearful".
I guess that's all they got.
Change it up once in a while. Make some snide remarks about their spouses of infer they have poor parentage.

teachings of the Bible are so muddled and self-contradictory that it was possible for Christians to happily burn heretics alive for five long centuries. It was even possible for the most venerated patriarchs of the Church, like St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas, to conclude that heretics should be tortured (Augustine) or killed outright (Aquinas). Martin Luther and John Calvin advocated the wholesale murder of heretics, apostates, Jews, and witches. - Sam Harris, "Letter To A Christian Nation"
