Leave my !&$*@*# breakfast alone!

Leave my !&$*@*# breakfast alone!
I grabbed the bacon out of the fridge this morning and realized to my horror that they had changed the long familiar single serving pack of bacon to a half serving. (1/2 a pound)

Bastards...

What next? Are they going to quit selling chicken eggs and force me to scramble hummingbird eggs?

It did make me wonder though - is it different in the metric world? Is a single serving of bacon 2.2 pounds? (1 kilo). That could be enough to get a guy to think about moving.....

I buy the Mega pack, 22 oz. But I see lots of 16 oz. packages.

I recall throwing a medium-sized fit when a bag of sugar went from 5lbs to 4lbs.

Single serving of bacon = 1 kilo?
*Checks pack in fridge* 8 rashers, 270g

Many packages of bacon shrunk to 12 oz. some time ago. The packaging didn't change but the contents did.

That sugar thing pissed me off too. Less sugar, same price...@BrianSoddingBoru4 I thought Ellen was trying to get you off sugar and onto that imitation crap.

Bacon is a religion unto itself - and there's no such thing as too much bacon....

She is. But her attempts to do so are not conspicuous by their success.

But I do a great deal of baking, so sugar is a necessity.

~Half of the weight of bacon is water the bastards inject into it, pools of white shit form as soon as it hits the hot pan.

I split a pig with one of the neighbors a few years ago - and none of it cooked up like store bought.

The bacon and ham I brined, dipped in maple syrup then smoked for weeks.

Mmmmmmmmm.

Please consume a single metric serving of bacon every morning.  Your undertaker will be grateful.

In the detroit this is called “decontenting”.    A new model will be introduced with lots of little frills and nice to have features to generate buzz and positive reviews.   Then much of these little frills and features will be removed without notice or fanfare during years 2-3 of the production run.

So by end of production run, each model is but a pale shadow of the early production car in terms of standard features.
