It isn't the fault of America. It's the fault of any government that makes public ownership of firearms too easy.

That's probably more the case when it comes to regular old rank and file gun crimes. For nuts who want to go on a rampage, easy or hard..they're gonna get a weapon.
I think that we should keep things like that in mind if we want to consider how to improve our guns laws, anywhere. Some strategies would amount to a whole lot of lost effort for little effect, and it's not as if that effort isn't needed elsewhere within the issue, places where a little effort goes a long way, even.
I can't help but use a gun analogy - you point your rifle at the crowd and aim center mass. Not a single loons head.
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. John Wick puts two in the center and one in the head. Overkill is only necessary if you want to stay alive.

I thought our chief export was arrogance and entitlement. I'll add mental illness and psychopathy/sociopathy.
Being told you're delusional does not necessarily mean you're mental.

I didn’t really intend for this to be a gun control thread (my badski - I should have said so).
Rather than addressing availability of firearms, I’ve come to the conclusion that we might be better served by addressing issues of mental health and gun safety.

Mass shooting nuttery does seem like a communicable disorder, lol.

18 dead so far more to be found
Including an RCMP office who tried to stop him named Heidi Stevenson

Define "gun safety"...
Does it look suspiciously like gun control?

Kindof probably does, right? Like, keep guns out of crazy's hands. Maybe give crazy something other than a gun to hold. Maybe meds...who knows.
I've got a wound up little brother who I wouldn't trust with anything more than a weedeater. He's mowing my lawn right now.

Oh, little things like not leaving loaded guns within reach of toddlers. Crazy stuff like that.
