Like I have said prior, I am a bad speller. But please don't tell me you don't find if funny that I ran over my own lawn mower cover.
That isn't funny to you?
I once broke the glass of an antique grandfather clock with a loaf of frozen loaf of french bread.
I also once painted an F-14 Tomcat fighter jet scale model in camouflage, which was never a desert or jungle jet.
If anyone asked me to build exact replicas of stop signs mine would end up with triangles, plaid and paisley.
I think you would be a lot better if various areas, spelling being one of them, if you pay attention to what you are doing.
As for the mowing thing...it's one thing to hit something hidden in the grass that you may have missed in looking around. It's another thing to run over the mower cover, which I hope wasn't hidden in the grass, that was right in front of your mower. Where were you looking if not in front of you and the mower?
Years ago I used to tease my husband that his mission was to mow as fast as possible and we had about 2 acres so he seemed to always be trying to beat his previous time. I was in the kitchen and our German Shepherd was resting on an AC vent in the dining room. Husband hit a rock that was hidden in the grass and it broke the double paned window right above Shadow. I thought we were under siege and had been shot at. I don't think Shadow ever cooled off on that air vent after that day.
After nearly giving me and his dog heart failure, he got more careful about checking the yard before power mowing.
A small projectile I can understand...it happens...the whole damn mower cover is something else entirely.
You need a keeper.

What does spelling have to do with lawn mowing?
In all seriousness. What I am about to tell you has nothing to do with you or me, but a lifetime of experience.
If you want me to admit I am not perfect, YOU GOT IT. But if you want me to live my life as if I have to fart gold, forget it.
I fuck up lawns the way i fuck up cooking, because I am not good at either. I am not putting myself down saying that.

Last time it was a metal fence post buried in the mud from when they replaced my house. Last year I couldn't start it, neighbor told me it was because I left my battery attached. So I replaced it, and it started. So it had been sitting all winter and I was thinking I would have to do the same thing, replace the battery because I didn't disconnect it. Ok fine, but turned out this time, the battery was fine and it just needed gas. GREAT. So I get through 99% of the yard and RUN OVER THE MOWER COVER!
I am hopeful all I will have to do is detangle what got caught. I bet everyone reading this is happy I don't have control of the nuclear codes.

Nice try, but I have fucked up my mower sober.
I was stone cold sober in the 90s when I almost burned down an Arby's trying to change the oil as a fry cook.

I am saying you need to focus more on whatever it is you are doing...or attempting to do.

You forgot to turn it off?
I've had people empty a fryer and not bother to refill it or clean it and then I've turned it on the next day without looking.
I like to think of it as a smoke alarm test. :-)

I'm reading your words and can make sense of them individually, but all together, in that order, they make no sense. Why have a mower?

Some people have maladies, mine is A.D .D. Had it all my life.
If life worked the way you claim "Just focus" then nobody would have problems. Some things are not as simplistic as words and intent.
It is just like when people point out my spelling errors here. They are not wrong, but sample rate error and selection bias misses all the other times I do catch myself that they never see.
I am not going to kill myself over a focus issue. I do try, but I do have a malady. You'd have more of a case if I had a staff I could pay to check my work. I mow my own lawn because I have to stretch my retirement out to social security. If I were Jeff Bezos, you'd have a case.
If it makes you feel any better Arewethereyet, my late mother would most likely side with you "What is your problem". But as much as she loved me, I would still make the same argument. Life is not a script.

Because I have neighbors who bought into trimmed lawns. Personally I like "Adam Ruins Everything" in regards to lawn upkeep. But the truth is in the real world, neighbors don't like inconsistency.

Maybe you need to be drunk and own a lawn mower. Give it a try and see.

Brian - if you are operating dangerous equipment you need to focus. Your excuse is a valid one but there are still times when you need to make yourself focus for safety reasons.
FFS...you are an accident waiting to happen and you don't seem to care.
