But just like the car, no reasonable person would assume that it is ok to take the car because the keys were left in it. Money still hanging partially in the ATM is akin to leaving the keys in the ignition with the door unlocked.

And you have a government issued title in your name for that cash?

No?

....

Not the same thing, dufus.....

You leave money laying about in a public space - it's not really yours anymore...

Yes, it IS his money. Simply because dollars are fungible doesn’t mean that lost ones are free for the taking.

Finding property that someone else has lost may grant possessive rights, it doesn’t necessarily grant ownership.

Did OLB just type that nonsense?

OLB.......

"Finders Keepers" DOES NOT APPLY with cash hanging partially out of an ATM.

"Sucks to be you" also DOES NOT apply in the same situation.

In the case of cash partially hanging out of the ATM, the default is that it goes back to the  BANK, then if the person who forgot it reports to the bank, the bank puts it back in their account.

You DON'T get to take it just because someone left it there.

"Tommie Copper" is selling masks with copper "infused" in them. Because copper is the natural enemy of copper. Seriously, I've seen videos where copper has stopped fighting cancer and just flat out attacked virii. Gets my blood-lust up. (Well, so does breakfast for that matter.)

So today I  bought a shop vac for 50 bucks at Lows. Brought it home and some assembly required of course.

So flipped it over, popped in the four plastic wheel guards onto the bottom base. Each had a hole I had to put a screw in to hold the guard to the base. The screws were so fucking tight and the flathead was smaller than the slits in the screws. So took me forever to screw them in. Only after did I find the right sized screwdriver which would have made it go quicker.

But wait, act now and we will double your offer with the same vac, story part two.

Ok so I had no problem assembling anything else. So I connect the hose, turn it on, and THE DAMNED THING IS BLOWING AIR, NOT SUCKING... I freaked out. Yea yea yea, but only for a second, then I realized the vac had two hose ports, one for blowing and one for sucking.

Why didn’t you get the proper screwdriver BEFORE you started putting the wheels on?

Why do you need a shop vac? Mine is used almost exclusively for sawdust collection in the shop (cyclone-type system).

Mine’s a 16 gal Ridgid. Easy to uncouple from the dust collector if I need it somewhere else.
