In the story of Noah and the giant ark, why did Noah take the animals with him inside the ark?
Was Noah worshiping animals?

No he was not.  

GOD specifically tasked him with placing the animals in the ark "to keep seed alive upon the face of all the earth." - Genesis 7:1-5

Funny how this all powerful god always seems to need humans to do his work for him ... lazy god!

From a strictly human perspective it does seem that way, but GOD has historically commanded those whom He has mercifully justified by faith (Abraham, David, etc to this very day) to do things that didn't / don't make sense to us. Yet in faith, they obeyed and passed those tests. To quote, GOD declares "For My thoughts are not your thoughts, Nor are your ways My ways,” says the Lord. “For as the heavens are higher than the earth, So are My ways higher than your ways, And My thoughts than your thoughts."

So, He says repeatedly to us all - trust and obey - and you will never fail. (Psalm 37:5, Isaiah 26:3, Proverbs 3:6, etc), and also, "without faith it is impossible to please Him" - Hebrews 11:6

God has never ‘historically’ done anything.

The real story, not that you'd be interested, Is that FSM left the tap on for too long flooding the planet and solar system. Luckily Xhe noticed before our galaxy went under.

FSM ordered the early prophet Ronondio Zonilini to gather 6 of each animal and all the cool people of the earth aboard a mystical cruise ship for 40 days and nights.

Garganelli 7:1 FSM then said to Zonilini, "Go into the Cruise ship, you and your whole family, because I have found you righteous and gnarly in this generation. Take with you 6 of each animal and anyone who isn't being a dick and to keep their various kinds alive throughout the earth. After 40 have this mess all mopped up, my bad, stay dry" so it was spoken so it was."

Let's do some math here...if you have two animals so that they can breed later and make more animals...hence why we still have those animals...and you feed them to other animals or sacrifice them then they can't make baby animals.
