True story, on my way back from Australia on my first trip, we landed in LA, and I overheard a passenger talking to a flight attended about how bad the turbulence was when we landed and were filing out at the gate. I piped in and said, "Yea, that was pretty bad, I am terrified of turbulence". The flight attendant said, "Oh, this was nothing, I was on a flight when one of the engines fell off." I still had 2 more links to get home, I didn't need to hear that.
