You expect me to control the actions of the U.S. government when you can't do anything about your own.  Your problem.  You fix it.

The disconnect between what they say to get elected and what they do is pretty much complete.

There was a case a few years ago where somebody sued the Coca Cola company over false advertising of a product called Vitamin Water. It was marketed as a healthy sports drink, but in fact it was just sugar water. Coca Cola's lawyers argued in court that no reasonable person would ever believe what Coca Cola's ads say, and they won the case.

Today I read that Trump's ex-lawyer Sidney Powell is making the same defense, concerning the lies she told about the voting machines being rigged. "Everyone should just expect what I say to be false," is something that powerful people argue now.

So technically they are saying: "if we were in your shoes;we would never believe the White House".

Because your country is intervening and sponsors so many dictators around.

They didn't even punish them for 9/11, so why would they punish them now outside of a slap on the wrist? Any punishment is simply for optics.

I expect Biden to continue supplying authoritarian regimes with the weapons required to murder innocents, and of course assist in murdering civilians with our own drone program. Just look at Obama's record if you want a sneak peek.

"The Grand Nudger" said it once that Biden is nothing but a different beast than Trump, but he is a beast.
Well - If Nudger said it, it must be so.   Dodgy

Back off Winter.

RE: Biden on punishing MBS and Saudi Arabia
I think that anyone who treats any american president like a housecat, or believes that they're going to be one, is going to end up getting eaten sooner or later. Biden is going to pursue the continued relationship between our states so long as it's in the interest of our states and ksa remains within the acceptable parameters of that relationship - not the parameters of an individuals moral condemnation...not even his own.

In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. Did he prove that he was just lying and giving empty promises, or did he indeed contribute to punishing the infamous MBS?

Biden said during the elections:

But when time came and he became president:

Quote:Biden administration never considered MBS sanctions a viable option in response to Khashoggi report

Personally, I think Biden lied and the American institution of politics is truly bankrupted, criminal and nothing but another Rome collapsing.

What is your opinion?

Ancient Rome took 1200 years to collapse.   So even if you wish is granted, I doubt it would be soon enough for you.

When you "sponsor" cutthroats and killers like MBS and call their regime "our partner"; then you are held accountable for the action of the partner you protect and defend.

In the age of Ancient Rome there was no internet, planes, speed of sound and light transfer of information, a whole generation in Rome's time is more like days in our world.

So America did begin its collapse; it had a good run of 3 or so centuries, but its system of politics is outdated and rotten.

BTW, Biden should've punish MBS and cut Trump's wings; we know Trump had wings in Russia, Israel, maybe China too. So Biden just allowed Trump's party to win this round.

RE: Biden on punishing MBS and Saudi Arabia
You're reading this entirely wrong Winter. If we don't keep the weapons and money flowing through diplomats and deals, MBS will find his interests damaged - so he did.... ofc, punish mbs...but not to make him do anything that you want, or anything that you would think were good, and not by any way that you would think was good.

The carrot here is that if he straightens up and acts right (which is to say doesn't get caught, at a bare minimum) then he won't suffer these little setbacks in getting his guns and cash. IDK bout you, but I wouldn't want to be a middle eastern dictator with doubts as to whether or not the us sees me as a competent and acceptable authority for regional partnership.

I don't sponsor cutthroats and killers.  Your religion does.

We're just not cutting the right throats or killing the right people, at present. Atlas desires regime change and more. He thinks that the us is obligated to help achieve that desire (before we collapse, ofc).
