"Thank God" after the fact.

RE: "Thank God" after the fact.
Comprehension fail. Did you start out with any and lose it?
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

Who said that I didn't understand how something works, and therefore noone can?  Or that this was the basis of my post?

Again, putting words in people's mouths.  Which makes your answer worthless as it is then a strawman.

Being lectured by an idiot who regularly trips over his own balls is not going to trouble me in the slightest, dear.

sweetheart you said you did not understand therefore no one can by quoting a man who said that very thing. thats what quotes/meme do.. they illustrate or demonstrate how you feel by using the words of someone who had your sentiment first/said it better. in this case socrates said several different times over the course of his life. he prized ignorance, in a time where knowledge/scientific knowledge was in it's infancy. because when people did not know or understand something they attributed it to myth or legend.  so if i got your sentiment wrong it means you QUOTED THE WRONG PERSON OR USED THE WRONG QUOTE. the fault is with your ability to align your thoughts with the intended quote.

im doing 10 different things today and talking with 3 different people. plus my dog died (the 2nd one)

you said i was a bad example of no cost salvation ie all the pain and hardship..

I'm trying to say i am a bad example as basic salvation does not requires these things.

my pain and hardship comes from my desire to share and teach.

this is not something most people deal with. most people salvation is free. and not only are you saved you now have direct access to god.

if you mean to say anything else i am lost.

[emphasis mine]

That's not at all what the quote says.

Yeats said something similar, "The best lack all conviction, while the worst / Are full of passionate intensity."

None of what either man said is even close to your bungled mouthful of ignorant bollocks.

Someone has an "OH SHIT" moment, like avoiding death in an accident, or avoiding a murder, or even after a murder, the killer is caught.

"Thank God" I survived the plane crash, but fuck all the people who died.

"Thank God" I survived the mass shooting, and screw all those who died.

I don't understand the logic behind why one life is more imortant or less important.

The harsh reality is that while everyone wants to live, ultimately there is no God helping humans are watching over us, or helping us.

"They're in a better place" I really fucking hate that bad logic. If someone dies. by accident, or crime, or violence, and they move on to a utopia in the afterlife, then why are you bitching? If I had a friend or family member who won the lottery, I wouldn't blame the ticket seller.

The truth is without the god crap or superstition, is nobody likes to die. There is no reason to concoct religion or superstition to explain why evolution drives life to continue.

you are right everything you said above is an example of horrible logic.

1)We thank God in all things including death. only those who worship this life because they have nothing waiting for them afterwards... curse god for not giving them 100 years of guilt free sin that does not come around and bit them or others. I personally have no desire to live 100 years. i can see on the horizon a time where i want nothing more to do with the coming evils the next generation are struggling to make main stream. I cant stand how much evil is main stream now, let alone before to accept more. I want to make sure those who i leave behind are well cared for and i want to finish what God has for me to do and i want to go home. i want to see which of you make it, and which of you dont.

2)how stupid are you to think nothing has consequence? that if God allowed your sins he's be force to stop someone else if their sin included raping you or harming you. WE are the ones who grade sin. We are the ones who say this sin is greater than that. why? because the sins we tell ourselves are ok which allows us to be 'moral people' can only work if there are sins that are worse. when in fact to God all sin are the same.

So it's either all or nothing. if you want to cast off sin and live free, then there is a place set aside for you to do so.

Like wise if you wish to hang on to your sins, there is a place where you can do that too, but know it is far apart from those who do not wish to be in sin.

Sad that you’re wasting your one and only life to wish for something else you believe is coming “after.”

Your book isn’t an answer to anything. It’s a bunch of stories that you happen to be gullible enough to believe, and it chaps your ass that the rest of us aren’t.

Edit: sorry @Angrboda I see what I did here. 😂❤️

the book is only there to verify what we experience, as god... is not the only spiritually based being out there.

The book that teaches you to hate gay and transgendered people is there to verify your experience of hating gay and transgendered people? How convenient.

Indeed LFC, it's so incredibly convenient that the views of the most powerful being in all of the entirety of everything perfectly coincide with my own views of the world around me. Anything I don't like, my friend doesn't like either.

book chapter and verse? no?? then know there is no biblical command to hate gay people. that such a command comes from religion.. which varies from the bible wildly. as the bible is what God wants of us, and religion is how we want to serve God. As a result God hates religion and Jesus spent his time here undermining religion.

the bible says treat a brother in the church who will not repent of his sin as you would any other sinner.. How are sinner treated? with the gospel of Christ. Help them identify sin, help them what the reward for sin is and help them find christ. as all sexual sin to God is the same. so whether a man be gay or masturbate to hetero porn the 'treatment' of the sinner is the same.

there are only two scientifically identified genders for homosapeians. this is the truth/facts of science concerning our genders. that means if a male sees himself as a female and he is scientifically identified as male, then the individual suffers from a mental disorder, that allows him or forces him to see something other than scientific fact.. which is fine, as mental disorders are not a sin. Where my personal problem lies is when a person with a mental disorder demands i participate in the delusion. I truly think it does far more harm to play along than it does to be apart of a society that reaffirms the science on this matter. As it known/knowable biology and not some fringe/theoretical version of science.

Why does science only matter when it opposes god? why don't you treat science the same across all aspects of your life? meaning if a principle like this contradicts the almighty science, then how can't you not change your views on whatever contradicts science? Do you not see how disgustingly hypocritical it makes you all to just pick and choose what you want to believe?
