Nope, we spent punishing the scumbags who did 9/11 and their sympathizers and trying to fix a backwater nation and make it into somthing which is more than any Islamic group has ever done. Idiot.

We went after an evil organization and its allies and We did more for the people of Afghanistan than you weasels combined.

Nope, we got virtually nothing out of Afghanistan and any attempt to help develop its resources didn't come too much. So you are talking out your ass.

I guess we can at least figure out what kinds of islamist propaganda works on you, Winter. You think the us uses it's military to loot other countries. No, no friend..that's what our economy is for.

Your boys are going door to door killing afghan people. They gonna set up the execution center on a soccer field again? Leave some folks hanging from lightposts?

Before that, I think that the descendants of the Islamic hordes that marauded over Europe and Asia, forcing people to convert at swordpoint, should pay their share. Mad

If there were any expectation that the afghan people would be the recipients of or benefit from reparations paid to the taliban, it wouldn't be an immediately unserious suggestion. As I mentioned before, we did pay for those gains the people saw in our occupation. We're obviously willing to dump a ton of money in the country.

Even cynically, if we were going to send cash to an oppressive totalitarian regime, that regime would have to serve our interests somehow.

Point is, I hope your boys aren't counting on that money, Winter. OTOH, there's plenty of american largess for them to loot from the citizenry - which appears to be the plan. At what point can we dispense with the fiction that the taliban gives a shit about afghan people? Additionally, are you too far down this rabbit hole to back yourself out?

Don't blame me, you nutjob.  I always said bombing the Taliban was fine but we never should have set up a long term presence there.  Those idiots who live there will never develop a real civilization.  And it was the Taliban and Al Qeada who destroyed the country, not the US.  You're forgetting that the US was allied with several tribes of Afghans who had ZERO interest in the Taliban's rule.  It's not our fault they weren't strong enough to fight properly.  Blame the Taliban, you sand fucker.

Why don't you tell us what makes someone want to brutalize women and children and kill fellow countrymen because their beard is too short?  Get your own house in order before you point your finger at someone else.

Quote:So, STFU and pay for the generations you burnt for drugs and Uranium.

I'll do no such thing.  You're the one believing in lies and nutjobs.  Your entire screen on this is based on complete nonsense.  If you can't keep the discussion civil and on factual grounds, then you can fuck off.  I have no use for dipshits.  I ask you reasonable questions and all I get back is insane screed.  Not worth my time.
Why is it so?

Says the troll who insisted (in another thread, long ago) that it was ok for the Ottomans to conquer Byzantium in the 15th century, based on a perceived "insult" in the (approx.) 7th century.

Cant make up this shit, really.
