Stupid things religious people say

LOL! Brilliant! If the LDS aren't doing LSD now, they certainly were when this stupid church was founded! Don't you just love how christians are the most judgmental people on this planet when their god Jesus specifically told them not to be!

A misconception. Hippy jesus said that, the way that you're interpreting it... and that guy was born in living memory. The jesus of the magic book was every bit as vile as his current followers. They're not doing christianity wrong, they're doing human wrong. Judging isn't verboten in magic book because it's a moral defect, it's wrong because god denies us the agency to make such judgments. We are told we must defer solely and exclusively, to -his- constant judgement. That's just for him, and, apparently, it's his favorite thing to do.
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!
I’m a spiritual atheist and can’t tell you about my afterlife because it’s too sexual
Being told you're delusional does not necessarily mean you're mental.

Watching this video about the 8 Passengers mom, and this has to be the most ridiculous case of fundie “media is evil” I’ve ever seen:
So, apparently, there’s a woman with a disabled daughter who loves Disney’s Descendants. This daughter comes up to her one day and says she’s being bullied. The mother’s immediate response is to insist that can’t be the case, and upon further inspections, she decides that the problem is in The Descendants. Not even something in the movies, mind you, but the fact that one actor allegedly killed himself. (Note, the only death I could find in the cast is Cameron Boyce, who died not of suicide, but complications from epilepsy.) She has apparently decided that this fact, which she acknowledges her daughter probably doesn’t even know about (even though it’s not even true) is warping her mind. And, of course, of all the people she could go to with the problem, she chose the woman who thought it would be a good idea to literally deny her own teenage son a bed for several months.

Jon Voight: Atheists Are Fueling The Rise Of Satanism
teachings of the Bible are so muddled and self-contradictory that it was possible for Christians to happily burn heretics alive for five long centuries. It was even possible for the most venerated patriarchs of the Church, like St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas, to conclude that heretics should be tortured (Augustine) or killed outright (Aquinas). Martin Luther and John Calvin advocated the wholesale murder of heretics, apostates, Jews, and witches. - Sam Harris, "Letter To A Christian Nation"
So, people who don't believe in an actual satan are helping it become more popular.
A 3-Year-Old Catholic Girl With Miraculous Healing Powers
Annice, a three-year-old girl from Tanzania, has gained worldwide attention for her ability to heal people by pouring water over them after praying. Annice’s birth was extraordinary, as she stayed in her mother’s womb for three years and began talking and walking at just seven months old. Annice claims to be called by the Blessed Virgin Mary, and her healing abilities manifested after entering a burning flame, guided by the voice she heard. Annice’s parents support her and follow her instructions, while some people who dislike her work have attempted to harm her unsuccessfully. https://www.catholicshare.com/a-3-year-o...ia-africa/

Know-it-nothings like Voight and company sermonize their unqualified conclusions regarding affairs far beyond their intellectual abilities.
This fodder however, is more than enough to satiate the grazing herd. It resonates so loud in their skulls, it is like sweet music to the goblin at the helm of their mental dinghies. |
